      They are just imperfections on the plate. I always use homemade plates, never clean them, and often take advantage of their imperfections before melting them down to reshape them. 😉❤️🇧🇷

    Beautiful papers! Thank you! I am wondering - did you make your own gel plate? I ask because the plate you use has nicely rounded corners and edges, as opposed the straight edges I have seen on commercially made plates. I ask because I have thought about making my own plate, but been hesitant. Sincerely, A New Subscriber. A few minutes later...I found your video about making a gel plate; thank you. Now I have another question😏 How long do your gel plates last and how do you care \ store them? Is mold ever a problem? I live in Georgia (USA),, so it gets hot and especially humid here in the summer. Thank you, again!

      Thank you! I’m glad you found the DIY video, it’s a very easy, fail proof recipe. I store my plate in a recycled salad container between acetate sheets. I’ve been using my plate for, I think 🤔 over 2 years now. I just melt it down and reshape it every once in a while. I never had problems with mold. But the good thing about homemade plates is that they are dirty cheap. If you see any mold just toss it and make a new one 😃 I like DIY plates better than store bought ones because you can pull more prints out of a single layer. I usually don’t clean my plates, I think left over paint adds character and texture to my prints. However, I tried washing one once, and it didn’t work too good, after all it’s gelatin 🫠 You can wipe them with baby wipes, and let them air dry before storing them again. I’ve been in Rio for 4 months now, very hot and humid, so far no problems with my plate. I hope I answered all your questions. Be happy to answer more, anytime.     I already make these dolls but I watched the entire video because these girls are just so precious. I can't decide between the one with the building hat and the one with the purse for favorite. I'm feeling inspired to make a few new ones soon. I think you did a great job of explaining the how-to, as well.

    Hi Ana, just found your channel and I love this video so much! This is how I pretty much spend my days - making weird but cute paper dolls. I loved watching your process and you gave me some great inspiration and ideas, especially for hats! I also put all my dolls in my journals. I tend to make larger ones, but going to try my hand at smaller ones. I just scored an outdated Simplicity pattern book for a few dollars that is packed with “parts”, lol. Looking forward to watching your other videos. I’m in California.
