MGB GT Barn Find. First Run
มุมมอง 2786 ปีที่แล้ว
I picked up this 1975 MGB GT for a very good price after it had been stood in a garage for 20years. We trailered it home. Charged the Battery and run some fresh fuel from a 5ltr can. This is what happened.

I install a vinyl sheet piece, as the gasket, under the box to catch any leaked or spilled brake fluid for easy cleanup and protect bodywork. Cleaned up rust, sealed the area, painted before reinstalling everything, just like he did. The vinyl will protect the bodywork under everything. For the pedals, I just cut slits in vinyl for the pedal to pass through, to stop some heat and noise into the cockpit. Easy to get it all out and back in. Did notice the hole in the pedal where connects to masters, “wallowed out”. Found the mushy feel in the pedal, woohoo! Had spot welded, redrilled, 5/16” hole, , now tight pedals.

I've just the same job on my 1965 MGB Roadster. The only thing I'd add to the excellent video is a suggestion on re-fitting the pedal box. I found it easier to get all the eight bolts started in their threads before screwing them finally uptight. Putting them back in is a lot harder than taking them out!

Hi, how did you remove the MGB brake box assembly? I am having trouble reaching in the crevice to get a few of the bolts off!

Do you mean the part I removed in this video.? I cover the removal on the first few mins of the video. It does take some long extensions bars and a flex head if you've got it makes it easier.

    1. Why did you cut out the part where you removed the Pivot bolt? 2. How in the F#¢k did you get the Pivot bolt out?!
