I know from experience. Texturing doesn't work on thick coarse hair. Straight easy manageable hair is only achieved through Relaxers.

This is how our hair was braided! Just your hair, some grease and the braiding hair. Parts were always clean and neat. All these different types of braiding gels now a days just give me more product build up to detangle.

I had put a relaxer "Back" in my hair last month after being a natural for over 7 years for the 3rd and final time. Relaxers "Always" made my hair grow "Tremendously". It was just that I got lazy putting the relaxer in my hair while having crochet braids in my hair. Every 2 to 3 wks, I would install the crochet braids after the relaxer. Being natural was just too much especially finding products for my hair, and for "Me", styling it was limited,from twists outs, braid outs and having my hair revert back to kinky when I wore it out. It just didn't do it for "Me"! . I missed my hair being slick, straighten,and curled and easy to comb without using any products. I commend the sisters wearing it natural but just like relaxers are not for everyone, so is being natural. Whatever "Works" for your hair and it continues to grow, stick with it,and "Relaxers" worked for "Me"! #ILOVEIT
