I'm here after the Worst Witch, she was Ada and Agatha Cakles. 😊
Where is this from
Ssssmokin 🙂🔥🔥🔥🔥
Combining a very dense plot by Towne with just adequate direction by Nicholson made this a disappointing watch. Nicholson isn't able to either stitch the film together stylistically or make the film buoyant enough to help us made through all the story elements. It's a fairly dispiriting film after the heights of 'Chinatown'.
Totally forgot about this movie.
It got forgotten soon after it was released! Very quickly indeed
I still haven't seen 'The Two Jakes', but I recall my favorite film critic, Jonathan Rosenbaum, formerly of the 'Chicago Reader', preferring this to 'Chinatown', a film for which he doesn't especially care.
That' s not what I heard!! |/:).
wow!! |/:).
i thought it was fine, not a patch on the original but it ties in well with the original. you really need to be familiar with the original for it to make any sense whatsoever.
Sounds very posh to say she’s from Bradford!
Bradford or Bedford? 😂😁
"PromoSM" ✌️
1:06 "When I put that mask on I become a completely different person" 1:19 "This thing has a life of its own" These two scenes are not in either the film or the Workprint. I wonder where they come from.
reccomended
HEY, MIKEY THEY LIKED IT !!!!
Ole Uncle Ken lol
R.I.P. my dear friend.
Future TH-cam superstar
Aside from his impressive cinematography, he was also Army Special Forces in Vietnam...a true trench fighter, he channeled his experiences through the lens. He was a great friend and he will be missed.
Huge disappointment. These two are obviously too devoted to the original film and Jack Nicholson. It was "challenging" because it was a mess, as far as the story goes. Everything else was there. The script wasn't.
Pretty much the same reason why they liked GF 3. They were nostalgic for the previous films.
Beautiful woman
tony todd will be in Kansas city MO for planet anime Oct 21 and i believe the 22 cant wait to see him . hes a great actor
I loved her on Wings. A superbly talented actress!
Stunning woman.
The costumes and makeup are out of this world. Unfortunately all their budget went to the makeup. None the less I'm still horrified by the detail in 2023
He probably cut a rat in half with that knife before they came.
Garak ❤
I'd like to see The return of Nico and Dorian
This film was corny and convoluted.
Milo is absolutely a WONDERFUL dog! I would like to have a dog like that. (Our dogs are smart, but there is a LOT of shedding. They're both part husky.)
The part where Harvey Keitel parrots John Huston’s line about Jake Gittes thinking he knew what he was dealing with was just major cringe.
exactly
I’m going to call Chinatown the one Jake from now on
My top favorite!
Jesus Siskel is awful at reviewing movies.
2:03 - The Evil Laugh:)))

My cousin is peter Greene the other guy who puts on the mask, he's a really good guy
Your Cousin had a fantastic year in 1994 alongside Jim. Not only was he in 'The Mask', but he was also in 'Pulp Fiction' and 'Clean, Shaven' too!
@@OddOneOut665 and blue streak that was the big one for me growing up, Martin Lawrence and Dave Chappell. When pulp fiction came out my whole family went to the theaters and saw it..... watching my whole family sprint out the threatre during his scene is still my favorite childhood memory
Narcisse was one of my favourite characters when I was a kid
This really was a bizarre superhero movie ahead of it’s time looking back at it as an adult, when I was a kid I didn’t know what to label it. Jim Carrey is truly a one of one talent.
The ILM guys who worked on this should've won the Oscar. Not the ones who worked on Forrest Gump.
That trademark Gene Siskel pretentiousness is on full display here. I like this movie BTW.
Siskel's pretentiousness had nothing on Roger's. Most people miss this and insist that Ebert was better because they have their little scorecards out and see that Roger thumbed up more "classic" films than Gene did, but Roger was downright disingenuous and deceptive about movies he didn't like (especially if it had anything at all to do with either politics or scenes that he thought were unhealthy for the general public to see), and he conversely found reasons to suck up to movies he apparently thought that it would be useful to give a good review to (like Aliens or Tarantino, whom he didn't like at all and he forced himself to re-watch Pulp Fiction to intentionally look for the good stuff to focus on to convince himself to give it a good review.) Siskel at least stuck to his guns and usually didn't try to fool himself or the viewer. See Roger's print reviews of The General's Daughter, The Siege, his two reviews of Birth of a Nation, etc. if you want to get a feel for his relentless pretentiousness, preachyness and disingenuity.
He was fresh off the set of the first Ace Ventura
