Reflexes in general are innate, that’s why its called a reflex, so not even testing it properly should show you he knows there’s no way to induce the reflex in anyone older than an infant and has made the procedure in this video up.

    Hi, is it possible to integrate several reflexes at the same time or must it be done in a specific order? ☺️🙏🏻 And if it’s possible to integrate at the same time, is it then enough with one exercise for each reflex? ( For a 6 years old kid)

    • @elevatingkids
      @elevatingkids 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I take the approach of working on the reflex that is most “severe” work on that one for 12 weeks then retest. You will find the brain works on all of them even though your focus is on just one. (Any movement will help them all). Hope this helps. If your child gets tired of a certain activity then you can mix it up. The key is consistency with getting the body moving to help connect the brain & body. Hope that makes sense.

      @@elevatingkids Wow thanks a lot. I will go there and check it out! Its amazing that the pediatrician didnt think to examine this as a possibility when the issues first started. My son is now 9 and beginning in preschool has had pencil grip issues, scissor issues, speech issues and now he also is having some midline issues in his ballet training that can be explained by this unintegrated reflex! He is also diagnosed with ADHD which is how i found your video on assessing ATNR. I was reading scientific papers about the correlation between the two: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23659315/ My son could not do the arms straight thing very well at all! I was so shocked. He also struggles with the 'superman' pose. I suspect that these unintegrated relfexed might also explain why he is soooo exhausted when he comes home from school and sleeps 10 hours a night. Trying to maintain 'normalcy' when your body cant must be tiring. We live in the Netherlands since he was 5 and they dont have a lot of attention on these issues. Thanks for sharing this valuable information. It is so so helpful!

    I'm 28 years old and when I was 17 a developmental pediatricician told me I still had the symetric tonic neck reflex. Nothing was done back then because well.. i dont event know. The point is that I have struggled all of my life with my brain. I have always know there is something off with it. I have the most severe case of ADHD and OCD, pretty bad coordination issues, terrible posture, so many nervous ticks and impulses, the sloppiest hand writing, muscle weakness, so many signs of autism, so much difficulty in several motor skills and so many other things. I'm not saying that it's all due to the retained reflex cause honesty i'm 100% sure i have so many other neurodevelopmental issues but i'm at my wits end. I know it's already too late considering i'm all grown up already and this kind of stuff is treated during childhood but I just needed to get it off my chest. Apart from the fact that I dont even know what my actual "problem" is. I would sell my whole heart and soul for someone to tell me what I actually struggle with and the reason wht. I hate my brain. I cant function properly. And with every passing year it gets worse.
