I found out on Friday last week, the shocking & sad news death of Britt Allcroft (born Hilary Mary Allcroft, 14 December 1943 - 25 December 2024) was an English writer, producer, director, and voice actress. She was best known for adapting the Reverend Wilbert Awdry's The Railway Series in the form of the children's television series Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends (later re-titled Thomas & Friends). She was also known for creating Shining Time Station (with Rick Siggelkow), Mr. Conductor's Thomas Tales, and Magic Adventures of Mumfie. She also wrote, co-produced, and directed the film Thomas and the Magic Railroad (2000). R.I.P 🙏🏼 Thank you very much for the Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends tv series of the 80s and the 90s on vhs. From my old childhood past when I was Little Hallingbury Primary School kid age.

Rest In Peace, She’ll be forever missed

We’ll miss her, greatly. Her death caused great shock and grief to a lot of us in the T&F community/fandom, considering the fact that many fan series, trainsonas and ocs would’ve probably never even existed if she never chose to bring Thomas and Friends to TV, the whole fandom most likely would’ve never been a thing at all without her either. This sentence honestly goes deep if you think about it for a minute. 3:16 I hope she rests well. Fly high, Britt Allcroft, you’ll always have a special place in our hearts. 🕊️
