Mine reset fine but then goes back to a red light. It turns off occasionally if I flip it a birdie or cover the camera lens with my thumb. But it feels like it’s been hacked and someone is watching me. I’m not even moving, I’m curled up with my dog watching Netflix.

I found it can set the sleep timer for a particular time or number of minutes. Also had it turn on at a specific time too.

I've done everything except the factory reset. Strange thing I had an Echo Show 5 and replaced it with an 8 hoping that would fix it. It didn't. Could there be something weird at that location? I don't think it's internet as I have a 1 GB connection (usually get around 500 MB at this particular). I will let you know if it works! Thanks!

I did ALL of the above and still Alexa isn’t responding to my commands. She does still announce morning and evening weather so I know there’s still sound and a speaker that’s working. Are the Microphone and Speaker two different parts to the Alexa Show 1st Generation? I will be calling Amazon support in the morning. She’s getting tired 😢 I’m guessing.

I just got a TV and decided to factory reset it for the previous owners sake, but now im stuck at the searching for remote. Its like its paired but the home button does not work -.- tried every trick and no i fant use the app because this TV doesnt know my wifi network and they wont let me do anything

My echo wasn’t answering when I call her name and when I clicked to go to settings it didn’t work and it keep disconnecting from my internet and asking me to check if it was me

All the ones in my house have been getting worse over time. The touchscreens now ALL don’t work. They pick up voice badly and most annoyingly blare random music out at maximum f***king volume at random times. Why has literally every single one started going mad?

The wake-up word for ours somehow changed to “Echo.” It was “Alexa,” but randomly changed on its own. You calling yours “echo” gave the idea to try that and it worked. We’ve changed it back to “Alexa.”
