The Fugitive is the reason I never wanted a tattoo. Why? I was afraid I might have to run like he did. The first thing that the police ask when looking for someone is ," are there any tattoos or scars?"

Despite the war going the country was a much better place at the time. We could unite behind our very existence just like this episode. Always hope. Always optimism. Always perseverence.

IIRC, the final episode lasted for the last two shows.I was disappointed the bad guy fell off the tower at the end. Even at that early age, it was corny. What the heck - did they think they were making a Disney movie?

It was supposedly based loosely on the Sam Shepherd case in the 1950s, although there was never a fugitive type situation.

Why was this kind of ending not done for the movie starring Harrison Ford, it would make more sense to do this ending for the movie instead of totally changing it from the original tv show finale which is a much better ending better for Kimble and Gerard and not downplaying the one arm man that killed Kimble's wife on the ridiculous subway scene between Kimble and the one arm man, typical of Hollywood to change the ending for their own selfish purposes and not giving the fans of the beloved tv show The Fugitive what they expected,I will always be disappointed about the ending for the movie and totally go with the ending of the tv show instead which makes alot more common sense.

I only remember one episode from the many I saw. He saw a school bus on fire, jumped in and got the children out. Just as the last one got off the bus, the bus exploded and he was thrown out, causing him wake up in the hospital with amnesia.

Sorry, but as a young boy I hated this show, knowing every episode would end in failure to catch the “one-armed man.” My parents had it on the tv every week; so, I probably sat through it; but, boy was it frustrating.

I saw a 1 armed man bump into me at a ball game and knock a beer out of my hands. I am still searching for the 1 arm man. Some day, I will find him. AND I will force him to buy me a beer. Even if I have to twist his arm. ( not the stump. I'll twist his other arm). I had a friend who lost his left arm in an accident. His name was lefty. After that, I didn't know what to call him. I had a childhood friend who had no arms and no legs. We knocked on his door and asked his mother could he play baseball with us. We told her we don't need a 2nd basemen, we need a 2nd base. She didn't think it was funny. I was just trying to get him involved. I had a guy with 1 leg try to sue me. My lawyer told the Judge, that guy didn't have a leg to stand on.

Bill Raisch -- the one-armed man. What I found incredible about him was that he was from my home town North Bergen, NJ -- same town that Heavyweight Champion James Braddock came from. Bill was also in the films "The War of the Worlds," (1953), "Sweet Smell of Success," (1957), "Spartacus," (1960), "Lonely Are the Brave," (1962) & he was Burt Lancaster's stand-in for several films despite their height differences. He appeared in other films & TV shows often uncredited.

Watched this last night (early this morning?) on MeTV, being very glad that I napped from 2:03 to 2:30 a.m. EDT. Also saw David Janssen killed in 1955's "Cult of the Cobra," on MeTV's Svengoolie the night before. To paraphrase Barry Morse, "Kind of a big weekend for you, isn't it??"

So basically all that chasing the one armed man was for nothing. This was a complete letdown and was almost the reason I skipped watching the ford/jones film of the same name - which, unlike this series was great.
