SORRY But this is toi different for me to enjoy it. Like many here, i know every single beat, tap, twang and where every bit of vocal starts and ends. And this has so many, too many, such changes.
See "Jane's Addiction - Pigs in Zen - Detroit 1988" - same show. On Pigs in Zen, Perry refers to Detroit alot. Dave and Perry's hair say '88 to me. On this Stop audience does not sing along at end prob because it's a new song to them. Just because you saw them in '88 doesn't mean they didn't play Stop at another show. Last note - I bought a VHS bootleg of this show in '92 at a shop in NYC which said it was Detroit '88. YES YES YES!!!!!
@NickODU2015 I always have. I would attribute his lack of attention to playing with feel and dynamics as opposed to real fast and hard which for some reason I will never understand gets all the attention?
Yeah, claiming Stop was played on the 88/89 tour is just BS. Dude, you need to change that. I saw this tour, and it ABSOLUTELY was not played on this tour. yeah, I got your email about them writing Ritual songs pre 90, but they did NOT play them on the Nothings Shocking tour. no, no no.
@antiirony People are too paranoid to let it all out...slaves to ego and need to look a certain way for the camera....This is why I love Perry...he just doesn't care what people think...
My apologies fellas. You're both correct. I don't know why I was so sure. It'd been so long since I heard the first disc that I was pretty positive. At least we can agree that this is a fantastic track!
@lennex88 : i assure you. It's song titke is ** not ** Ted, Just Admit it. The song is called Nothing's Shocking from the "Nothing's Shocking" album. .
This video is mislabled. It's "Nothing's Shocking" and NOT "Hey Ted Admit It". Still a stellar and groovy track anyways! (the whole debut disc is pretty fantastic too)
Why did they make fu**** hard/heavy/shitting/rock/metal song instead of making these kind of super psyche tune... i like jane's addiction, but they have record piece of shit, not like this song :D
They absolutely did not play Stop on the Nothing's Shocking tour. Saw them on both. I can tell by their appearance and stage set up that this is from Ritual, which was 1990. Not that it matters. Killer vid.
@ksedore I actually found it. Check this out !! The whole show is on there in parts. Absolutely insane. Jane's Addiction - Enit Festival 1997 (part 11)
They are absolutely hauling ass You j this version, the fucking energy though.🚀🚀 In their prime they could bring as hard as anyone.
SORRY But this is toi different for me to enjoy it. Like many here, i know every single beat, tap, twang and where every bit of vocal starts and ends. And this has so many, too many, such changes.
Great song🎼❤🤟
Is Eric Avery the bassist?
Freddy Mercury and Iggy Pop had a love child, and his name was Perry!
My favorite Jane's era. They were mostly clean, and Perry's voice was still strong. They were perfection in the late 90's/early 2000's.
So good to see .happy they are still here, alive and sober. They sound better than they did 25 years ago .
Yes I do also.
The internet.
no
1:02-1:07 think he was still on drugs?
"Everybody's so full of shit".........Love this tune.

what year was this?
is this not one of the most intense songs ever?
@NickODU2015 he's brilliant, youre probably right, but drummers don't seem to get as much notice as singers/guitarists
was he trying to be freddy mecurey??
@lilducklingsierra I guess 'Idiots Rule"
@NickODU2015 I always have. I would attribute his lack of attention to playing with feel and dynamics as opposed to real fast and hard which for some reason I will never understand gets all the attention?

@antiirony People are too paranoid to let it all out...slaves to ego and need to look a certain way for the camera....This is why I love Perry...he just doesn't care what people think...
Its about Ted Bundy? LOL its just his voice at the beginning. the song is about how sex/violence on tv/media has an affect on people/culture.
My apologies fellas. You're both correct. I don't know why I was so sure. It'd been so long since I heard the first disc that I was pretty positive. At least we can agree that this is a fantastic track!
@JJJJay i thought it was about Ted Bundy and the title was ted just admit it,
Perry comes across as one of the most brilliant fruit loops ever. I think that's part of why he is great.
@lennex88 : i assure you. It's song titke is ** not ** Ted, Just Admit it. The song is called Nothing's Shocking from the "Nothing's Shocking" album. .
@JJJJay not really. the song is called ted just admit it

This can't be 88' because Stop, which was on Ritual, was released in 1990.
