Low light pistol this evening. Targets at ten yards. Backlit by an LED utility light. G17k and a NITECORE EDC 33 (at 4000 lumens, after a couple of strings fire this flashlight was too hot to hold).

They can be shot very fast! I have 3 99's all with the rotary magazine. I have all the Savage named cartridges: 303, 300, 250-3000.😊 Beautiful guns...slick action.
Agreed! Nice collection of lever guns! Thanks for the comment!
The small stoves typically go pretty quick...
That's really nice setup!!! Great pitch too.
@@robertdowns8182 thanks. Still need to tweak the placement of the annex stakes.
Speed fast.
@@theHDP Five times normal. Really boring otherwise.
Dang over achiever. It's only the 5th.
@@theHDP It’s easy when the training areas are close by and no competition for them. Scheduling is easy too. 😆
@andy_in_nh9243 making sure Gunner approves your SDZ is probably super simple.
@ Indeed! The only thing that gets in the way of training is tasking from higher. 😉

Listen to her purr.....
It is a wonderful thing!
You haven't jumped to WML? I do think that both are needed for duty work.
Well, sort of. There's a Surefire XC1 on the pistol. Anything bigger than that makes finding a AIWB holster difficult and makes carrying it uncomfortable. I agree that for "duty work" a WML is needed, but I don't do that kind of work.
We know that. 😂🤣😂🤣

Nice!!!!
@@robertdowns8182 Thanks. Hopefully we’ll do it again this year. 🙂
Nice set up my friend hapoy new year
Thanks! I didn’t go very far or stay very long. Just working on some skills. Happy New Year to you too!
Nice work!!! Happy New Year!!
@@robertdowns8182 Thanks for being a part of it! Happy new year to you too!
You truly are the best out there.
@@nevadacario2000 I appreciate the comment, but I’m not nearly as good as I should be.
I need to partner with your production company.
@@theHDP If a knuckle dragger like me can get it done, I have no doubt that someone like you can do it too. 🙂
Nice work!! Wish my headlights where that bright!
@@robertdowns8182 thanks. Me too. 🙂
Very nice Devil Dog!
Yup a little like winter today. Always surprised,I shouldn't be, of the smoke you see at night that is not noticed in daylight. The bright spot is you can get low light drills done before supper this time of year. Nice work!
Yup - good shooting weather and camping weather also!
Good ol controlled pairs and hammered pairs! Outstanding positive control of the weapon at all times as well from condition three to four back to condition three. Freaking immaculate!
Thanks for the positive comments! 😊
what optic you got on that beast?🤔
Aimpoint H-1 mounted on an Aridus Industries CROM with the Rob Haught aperture modification.
@andy_in_nh9243 well hello Mr fancy pants....
@ can’t put retreads on a corvette. 🙂
Nice work!!! I noticed you run your rifle drills from low ready and shotgun from high ready, just an observation.
You’ve got a keen eye! I did notice that and felt it made the most sense to run them that way. I should switch it up as I think both have merit depending on the situation.
😋👍🏼🙏🙏👍🏼😋

Why not use Hill People Gear's recommend method in their video, "Drawing from a Kit Bag in Detail"?
Thanks for the question! If you reference the video you mentioned at the 2:47 mark you'll hear Scot say, "If you actually replace your strong side pull tab with something like a monkey's paw..." I used a King Cobra knot instead, but the idea is the same.
Nice! What gloves are you using?
@@CanadianLinc Mechanix brand work gloves.

Again nice work! Movement drills might need micro spikes?
Thanks! No real ice and the snow is soft enough, but care must still be exercised.

You got more snow than me. 😪
Just wait for the rifle video to post in a few minutes! 🙂
Send it brother!! ❤❤

Nice work!!!

Looks like a good time was had by all! Bet you haven't had to put out a range fire like you did for quite a while😆
@@CanadianLinc that was the first (and hopefully last) range fire I’ll have at the home range, but also the smallest range fire when compared to all of those “back in the day”! 🙂
Nice coverage of my 3rd place on the 100yd dash🤣Nice job on the weekend I enjoyed it!!! Thanks!!
@@robertdowns8182 you were in the “race” and that’s what counts! Thanks!

Let's Go!!!!
@@theHDP We will go, not very far or very fast, but we will indeed “Go”! 🙂
Mine kills my neck. I can’t seem to get it where it needs to go.
The side of your neck or the back?
Good shooting, is that from 25 and in? What kind of holster is that for the XC1?
Details are in the video description. Thanks for the comment.
Why are you wearing it so low and loose? Get it high and tight on your chest like Hill People recommends. It's a chest bag not a fanny pack.
Because that's the way that it works for me. Thanks for the comment.
Nice work!!!!
Thanks!
@@Andy_in_NH I recognize that drill!
@@robertdowns8182 oh?
Nice! Kifaru pack?
@@CanadianLinc Thanks. Yes - an X Ray. Always wanted one, but never really needed it, and they aren’t available anymore. Then, one popped up on eBay and I grabbed it. So not really an “impulse” buy (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it). 🙂 Pack was brand new- still in the packaging.
You (and I) are left-handed. I re-watched your video and can't say I saw your left index finger knuckle hitting the card or ammo. Maybe you can verify that it doesn't. However, I detest "hard" shell carriers because of the beating my finger takes. I'll likely be in Northern Michigan this winter and might just dupe your tests w my 870 and the ESSTAC cards.
Left index finger is not hitting the card or ammo. I have had good results using the Aridus Industries Quick-Detach Carrier. Thanks for the comment.
