I know the lore behind bowsette. But I honestly would appreciate a canon story event where she was actually bowsers daughter secretly watching Mario all these years and she fell for him. And the fact she and peach resemble each other Mario has no issue losing feelings for peach to be happy with bowsette. Imagine Mario showing up to a family dinner and Bowser is just sitting there giving him the death stare. Then the reveal comes where peach walks in talking to Bowser clearly indicating marriage. Then Mario is like what the actual duck then why was she always begging for me to save her. Then bowsette proceeds to explain the family dynamic and prevents Mario from committing genocide
