    John is an officer and a gentleman. I have been going to airshows since I was 5; my dad was a Marine pilot and took myself and my siblings often to see the Blues through the years. I went to several airshows all over the country when John was #6 then #5 on the Blues. If I remember correctly, he was held over for a third year. I had the privilege of meeting John in either 1990 or 1991 and I would tell him which shows I would be at and he gifted me VIP tickets. To this day, I remember him fondly and am so glad to see his post-Blue Angels success.

    I understand the point, but the issue is this; I am going through a dark time, I am changing a few major things about me. Issue is, this change wasn’t of my decision, it was life’s. That’s how this normally works, when people forcibly change a lot at once, it’s never because they want to. Sometimes you have no other choice. Change, or die. So whilst I get the sentiment, normally this kinda stuff is uncontrollable. I have observed that it’s normally privileged people that are the ones that can put off growing as a person, for most it’s “kill or be killed”

    • @1mile1veteran
      @1mile1veteran 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I hear you. I remember when I was required to get sober. A lot of forced changes occurred-lost my job, house, and wife (things beyond my control). It hurt a lot. My mentor at the time told me to just focus on the most important-at the time it was to just focus on being sober-and everything else will progress the way it’s supposed to. When I try to manage everything in my life, especially in a dark time, I tend to lose the most and increase the difficulty much more. So it’s important that I use discernment to determine the most important necessary change and put everything else on autopilot, to free up my capacity to give my full attention to the biggest item.
