The kick across the field is called 50-22. Meaning you kick from your half of the pitch (your 50 metres), ball bounces at least once within the limits and goes out in the opposite 22 meters (the area between the last solid line before the posts of your opponents and their posts). If you manage that you keep possession of the ball for the throw in, whereas when you normally kick the ball out, possession for the throw in goes to your opponent. A huge advantage, but a very difficult one to achieve. You need to master power, precision, trajectory and quick view of the opportunity.

There's 2 championships that run simultaneously. The drivers championship for which each driver is racing for and the constructors championship for which the teams are aiming for. (Because constructors standings determines the cut of the prize pool they can invest in next years car) Each team having 2 drivers, their points combined go to the constructors tally. So having both drivers out in a single race can mean a potential 44 points they miss out on and the others get to gain. And yes, unlike most Formula, Indycar and Nascar, teams get to build their car from the ground up. Within technical rules (the Formula) they can develop their own chassis and engine. So it's more than just being the fastest driving in circles. :)
