Get the spray max 2 k clear coat, after the crackle paint drys for a few days or a week. Spray on the spraymax 2k. Like four coats, then a day or two later, hit it with a scotch brite pad to scuff it up, then spray another four coats, let that dry for a few days. Then hit it with 220 to level the surface. Then from there you spray it with four coats again, the wet sand out the orange peel and get it glossy by going through the grits wetsanding, 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000, then buff with meguiars compound, and then polish. I removed both of the black plastic rocker covers. You can get in there with compressed air and a Shop-Vac. It is a challenge but the compressed air will break up the foam like popcorn and then you can suck it out with your Shop-Vac you will find creative ways to get the vast majority of it out of there I wanted to make a video on this but I was having too much fun getting it out of there and then go in there with the long spray nozzle of cavity wax and treat that whole inner rocker panel you can get pretty far into the forward area of the rear quarter panel I thought about taking out the back seat and rear door panel to see what kind of access could be attained but the car only has 3.000 Mi on it. I figured there's a chance I might break something pulling it apart so I'll save that for another day and I also plan on keeping it out of the crappy weather for as long as I can I cleared out both of my rockers of all the foam and it's just now an open cavity with 3m cavity wax using a 360 degree spray tip and long extension wand in there. Mine is a 2021 and the way you can find out if it's foam filled pull off that body plug just inside your door jamb. You will be surprised I know this is the newer updated rear outer wheelhouse design however that foam is just going to absorb moisture and promote rust Plus all the drainage holes are plugged up.

OK GUY MINE IS A 2009 CHALLENGER 1ST GENERATION WITH A MANUAL TRANS. ONLY 44K ALWAYS GARAGED N YES I SAW ROT IN MY WHEEL WELL STARTING ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO. NOW IF YOU PUT YOUR FINGER BETWEEN THE FRONT PART OF YOUR REAR WELL YOU WILL FEEL A DOUBLE LIP. YOU HAVE TO SILICONE THAT N THEN TRY TO SILICONE THE GAP BETWEEN THE PLASTIC WELL N THE BODY. THATS WHERE ALOT OF WATER GETS IN . THE INSULATTION IN THERE IS LIKS A SPONGE N SOAKS UP MOISTURE. I WAS GOING TO TAKE WELL OFF N PAINT ANTI-RUST (FIND ON EBAY) ON REVERSE SIDE BUT DOUBLE LIP PREVENTS THAT. THE FRONT IS A DIFFERENT STORY YOU CAN ACSESS THE BACK OF YOUR FENDER SO GET A SET OF PLASTIC PUSH INS (ON EBAY) SO U CAN REPLACE THEM. MULIPLE DIFFERENT ONES. MY DRIVERS SIDE IS SHOWING SOME BUBBLING NOW TO. I DONT KNOW HOW TO POST VIDS SO POST 4 ME LOL IN THE FRONT AT BOTTOM BACK YOULL SEE THERES A BIGG AERA THAT HAS TO BE SEALED,WHERE ROCKER PANEL MEETS FENDER.

When I bought mine, the standard jack location was on the bottom and I optioned it to the inside for a cleaner look. Kinda wish I hadn't done that. Seems like their build times have gone quite a bit too. I don't remember exactly now but I think it was more like 6 weeks in 2009. The pickup angle on a gibson is the way it is because the neck is pitched at an angle to give the TOM bridge enough height. I kinda prefer the feel of a pitched neck, but my Carvin is it's own animal and cool in its own way.

micah watz that’s great I live in PA and I don’t take it out in the winter time but I do wash it from time to time to take care of the satin black (mine is a 5.7L T/A) mostly dry wash though!

Joe A yup me to. No winter driving. The salt will kill it. I try to use waterless wash most of the time, unless it’s extremely dirty.
