Just finished this movie a few minutes ago, it was so beautiful ❤️ I was so sad for Jung-won and he was so sweet and brave at the same time. Poor Da-rim, she didn't know why the shop was closed and thought he was avoiding her at first. I love the whole aesthetic of the film, its so wholesome and I feel like I'm actually transported back to 1998 South Korea when I watch it. The whole film feels like love and summer in a bittersweet sadness aesthetic. I loved it! Its now become a comfort film for me and one of my favorite love stories!!! I love the scene where they share icecream, it was so cute ❤ This film feels polaroid-like. The yellow hints in the footage add to the beauty. I do find it heartbreaking though how Jung-won took his own self portrait for his memorial, knowing what that picture would be used for. To think of all the beautiful portraits and smiles he took, and then to think he ended up taking his own knowing its purpose. It was so bittersweet. Two more things I noticed, one was how he took down his past loves portrait and hung up Da-rim's at the end, which symbolized his newfound love for her in his heart and how she would remain the last in his mind as his love for her hung eternally in her portrait. In a way, the portrait being captured by him symbolized what he saw, almost like looking through his eyes at her. In a way that portrait immortalized his joy and love. And the other thing is that, did you notice the last couple times she went to his closed shop, it was night unlike so many scenes shot in the day when she visited. The nighttime scenery I felt like depicted her sadness and the darkness in her heart left when he was not there. It was like her world turned dark and sad without him, like the nighttime shots of the melancholic shop. But at the end, we see she visits the shop again after his passing in the daytime and smiles at her portrait hanging on the wall. It is as if light has returned again and the shop is although not the same without him, but bittersweetly light again, with Da-rim knowing she can forever see what Jung-won has once saw in his eyes and so in a way, he will always live on ❤️ This was my interpretation of this beautiful film

This album and this song are just so perfectly constructed. The layers are perfect and the sounds are captivating. Mid Air Theif is truely a genius and I love his music. It's peaceful yet so loud and in my face. Their is so much chaos yet I feel like it's clear what the focus of the instramental is despite the chaos. It's like the surrounding chaotic sounds are just a frame of an art piece. It's like they are a colorful frame for the focus. They bring me into the song and make it so beautiful. It's kinda hard to put into words the feeling that this song gives me but I know many understand these feelings about this song.
