This is a great trail for more intermediate fat bikers. You can access this trail directly from town or park at the Coal Creek Bridge Parking area. This trail takes about 1-2 hour to complete, with about 250 metres of climbing involved. It is a loop of New Roots/Uprooted and can be done in clockwise or counter-clockwise fashion

This is a great trail for beginner fat bikers. You can access this trail directly from town or park at the Coal Creek Bridge Parking area. This trail takes about 1 hour to complete. There is a little cabin at the halfway point where you can have a fire or just enjoy the view before heading back. A great little connector off of the Kush trails that leads out to the Coal Discovery Trail. If you start on the Kush's and find that you're not feeling up to the challenge, this is a quick "escape" route that'll shorten up the ride. Have fun!

    Why sigma octantis is the closest stare to the southern celestial pole!! That is so weird ,which means if the earth is flat then that will make sense because the southern stars make part of a circle during a night because of they are far at rising and setting,and close to zenith at the south direction ⬇️

    I know this is a late comment, but I also have the TRS dropper and I recently serviced it and when you take the post out of the frame, their is the cable tower and then the cap for the inner mechanism that locks the post in place. Just make sure that and the bolt on top holding the spring and head in the post is tight, there shouldn't be much play. My brass keys and keyways are almost perfect and any play that comes from the post isn't from there but instead from getting something not tight enough somewhere else. Hope this helps anyone that might find this.

      Hey there! It'll depend on the weather but typically the lower elevation trails (Ridgemont area) and some of the higher trails that get southern exposure will be open by then (Swine Flu). Could be more than that but will definitely be limited trail options in early May.

      I have the “Fernie Blues” in a wicked way. I do an occasional Black but I’m totally dedicated to the Montange Blue Trail and it’s connections. I live 2 kms from the Cokato Connector on the Elk Valley Trail near the 3 Kings Trail Head. Coal Creek Heritage Trail is a Trail that I would like to see on Utube.

    This is just a couple Miles from where I live. Montange Blue is my Go To Trail. I ride it and go up any Trails intersect it. I ride on this side of the Elk River Valley almost everyday. I’ve got over 100 Days in this year so far and there’s still 40 days or so left before my Studded Tires go on for the Wintet.

    I admire the capabilities of Riders that can handle Trails like this. I can Climb and Decend any Blue Trail around Fernie and Decend Single Blacks with some apprehension but that’s the limit of my 2 year older lad Riding Resume. Moving to Fernie is the best thing health wise I’ve ever done.

    • @dhengen
      @dhengen 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are several trails in that area. Montane Green, Montane Blue and Roots/Uprooted loop are all groomed for fatbiking within the Montane area in Fernie. Outside of that area several other trails are groomed. There are lots of snowshoed trails that you can also fatbike but are narrower and more variable.
