I want to trick out my M109R! I need some guidance
Nice bike.
Okay I saw your video back a few years ago. I have been researching the M109R and really getting into that bike. I bought a Honda 1100 VT and have been riding it for well up until now and in the future most likely. I say that because I just bought my dream bike. The M109R. I have to pinch myself. Long story short I am now watching your video again. I have to say, everything that you described about the first time you're on the highway and every feeling you had was exactly my experience getting on the highway on my Honda with trucks passing me by. not because I was unable to keep up but because the wind and everything else was a bit overwhelming. My speedometer was off a bit so I thought I was keeping up but of course I was not. It was seriously intimidating and a bit nerve-racking. It took getting used to. Now of course it's cake. Fast forward to the M109R.... I am waiting for the weather to break to take my new bike and open her up a little. I only drove her home 23 mi from the dealership in basically rush hour traffic.
I have that bike too but its from 2006, its not my first its my 5th bike and I love it
Dude 41 is not old at all
you dont know how to ride your on the wrong bike and your vloging only matter of time
Beautiful bike! Please be careful.
Wait a minut you said first big bike but you stopped crotchrocking yrs ago so you decided on the suzuki. Its not your first Bike. Especially since crotch rockets are fast. You got the prfct size up no need for a triump bonnevile 130mph you just jumped up to 30mph more. NICE, good luck with it big bikes are no joke. Would you consider this bike long range rider cross country into other countries?
It is a beast I have the venture and man they go! Love it
It's crazy. I just commented on one of your M109r videos a couple of weeks ago. I'm in PG County Md. I just purchased the 2024 M109r a couple of weeks ago. It's still at the dealer getting some accessories put on. Then i'm shipping it home. The V Stream is one the accessories i have them putting on. I remember you stated you removed your due to it taking away the look of the headlight. Do you remember if you had the touring 10inch or Sport 7inch windscreen. By the way no need to apologize about your Stratoliner. They are dope bikes and look good in person, with a hellava sound system 💪🏿
Congrats on picking up that bully! I had the touring vstream. My current bike is not a stratoliner. It's an Eluder GT. She's a solid platform.
im about to do the same from a 450 dirt bike to a m109r
Dude i just sat on the 2024 M109 yesterday. I haven't rode in 6yrs but i was riding 1000cc supersport. However i'm mid 40's. So when i sat on the gixxer 1000r and then sat on the M109r it felt like my old riding buddies are right. They are trying to convince me to go with Harleys but i can't justify paying 30 to 35k for a new Harley. I'm also in Md. What advice you got for me?
Hey bro. My advice would be to evaluate what you are looking to get out of your bike. After 2 years on the M109, I joined a club and made the transition to a bagger (th-cam.com/video/1gJ8iXAJhYw/w-d-xo.html). I needed the storage for hitting the road. I left that club last year and me and my brothers starting an MC, Black Reign MC. My riding style and needs changed so I made the switch. In terms of a Harley, you don't need to spend 30K+ on a bike. There are plenty of really nice used HD's out there, especially if you are just getting back into it. Lastly, the ultimate move would be to test ride the bikes you are considering. What part of MD are you in?
PG County.
I wish I could be this guy frfr
I'm really eyeballing these bikes. I can't get enough watching videos like this. Quick question on fifth gear, do you have plenty of power to pass a car? Without having to downshift? My Harley, I have to do that😬.😢
I have a 2023 M109R and it is a freight train in any gear. It pulls hard in fifth gear with no issues.
Great video, do you still have the Eluder? What mods have you done? I just purchased one 5 months ago and love it
You're more brave than me lol i started on a m50 boulevard, then went to a gsxr 600, and NOW i have a m109r 😂 it was a comfortable progression for me
My dad has the same bike. Suzuki intruder boss edition from india. Love this bike
Where my M109R riders at?
Congratulations on getting patched. You must be worthy and proven.
н а х ты с дальним светом катаешься ?
Nice video, that makes a great sound! Did you ever have clutch issues?
In the two years that I owned it, no clutch issues.
If u dont like the wind in your hair(crap) and all those extras storage the screen the speakers,, buy a car fool!!! U aint NO Biker,,, wanna be is what u are!!! And patched up,,, so rediculous the wolfs or road fools what ever you call yourselfs!!!! Hahahalol
y are you here? Clown! LMAO
I ride red best on earth
Im guessing you got the ECU flashed... if not- probably worth it...
Indeed, I did! It made a huge difference.
Im in a similar situation to when you were starting, Im 36 now and just getting into riding. My father in law has ridden bikes his whole life so hes got a lot of wisdom and knowledge about bikes. Im debating between getting a Suzuki M90 as a first bike, which seems to have a much more forgiving torque and power band compared to the M109, while still having a similar look. Obviously the m109 is the flagship, but im a little concerned about trying to learn to ride on the m109. Do you think the m90 would be a good choice as a bike to learn on and grow into? My uncle in law also has a ton of bikes and my father in law was going to talk to him about possibly lending me a bike to learn on. If that pans out then i might end up buying the m109 if the right price comes up. Appreciate your videos. Thanks
krymsix It's a big bike but it carries it's weight very well and has a low seat height and centre of gravity. It sits well on the road and is relaxing to ride compared to a sports bike. The power delivery is nice and linear with no surprises. Plenty of low down grunt, good brakes and very comfortable. It's an easy bike to ride but be aware that it's heavy and requires a bit of physical input when changing direction. It doesn't ride nor handle like a sports bike but it still handles well, although the rear shock is poor. The M90 looks similar but is quite different power wise, as the M109 has numerous engine differences which make it more powerful. Do you have ANY motorcycle experience? Dirt riding perhaps?
@@SMHman666 No significant motorcycle experience. Right now I've been getting my gear situated. I've got my permit and my father in law has been nice enough to let me use his motorcycle in a parking lot. My uncle in law is hopefully going to sell me an inexpensive bike to get some more regular riding time in before it snows here. My plan is to get whatever practice time I can in parking lots before the winter then do the rider safety course in the spring. The weight is really the biggest thing that is a concern since the Suzuki bikes seem to be heavier than the Kawasaki, Yamaha and Honda cruisers. Both the 109 and 90 are even heavier than my father in laws Indian but the weight might be a little more stable, his Indian seems to sit a little taller (2001 Indian limited edition Scout, thing is awesome)
@@krymsix574 Getting some miles under your belt is good as is the safety course. They'll teach you defensive riding which is so important. The M109r probably isn't the best bike to learn on, to be honest, and when you drop it (and you will) she'll be a handful to pick up. It is fairly easy to ride but that's coming from a guy with lots of experience. It doesn't surprise you or do anything nasty but it's a big bike with loads of grunt. You mentioned snow and that's where experience comes in (and rain). If you get the chance to do some off road riding, go for it as it will show you what to expect when a bike gets out of hand. Skills that will be handy in the wet, snow, muddy or slippery roads, etc. I will never forget my first road bike. Fantastic memories. Enjoy mate!
Yo how hard was it for you to install?
You have any good sites I can purchase some B.O.S.S. accessories?
Man, you speaking to me directly. I just bought a road king with a similar situation
killer choice man
great beginer bike all my daughters learned on this bike. you need to learn to stay in your lane bro talking driving in all three lanes no signals lmao! gonna get got player! never ever seen a negro on a m109 before white boy bike! most blackys like stupid ass hyabusas
Check out my channel bro. In the DMV, I used to ride with over 20 black guys on M109's. I've got videos posted. LOL It's been years since I got it in 2018. I moved on a few years ago after joining a club. I needed luggage space. Bike reveal is on my channel too. Stay up bro!
Cool like the video...the bike sounds good too.
Good to see you back bro. You with another club now?
Thanks bro! Me and 3 brothers started Black Reign MC a few months ago.
@@BlackReignMC That’s what’s up bro congratulations. I am finally getting started bro life got in the way you know the deal.

You have the BEST "home screen" or whatever you call it. You always show your stats on the screen, and I don't really know what they all mean, but they look cool and I'm sure help the nerds that ride by those standards to make them better riders.
Hi there Dread, Mike B here from California and a new Sub'd to your channel. I LOVE the layout and look of your channel right away because it's different and you put a lot of hard work into it for our enjoyment. That's badass and does not get overlooked by me, brother. I'm a re-entry rider, just got a 2001 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 in perfect turn key condition, and a 2004 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic that needs to go through the shop, but DAMN I'm So happy to be back riding ! EDIT : HOLY MOLEY you must be insane, at 1783 cc motor. Brother, you have my UTMOST respect. I rode Honda XR80's in junior high, and then had CB750, Interceptors, Harley, but NOTHING like that MONSTER.
Great Great bije
This bike and the Kawasaki ZX 1400 seem to be old school bikes they just leave them with no driving AIDS but the prices are good on both and the performance is great.
richard I love that the Bully has no computer aids and is very simple. Simply a good old fashioned bike that puts a big grin on your face every time you ride.
This seems the most honest motorcycle video on TH-cam. Well done.
boring video
I will beat the crap out of any bike but I give it to you.. no one buys that sized bike for a first bike. Good to see and great video. I just bought this bike in orange.
My first bike was a 2008 yamaha warrior 1700. Crazy bike but I respect it’s power and weight and I learned how to ride on it by myself. Wouldn’t do it any other way
can't hear the bike. You're talking too much. exiting out.
Your point? Go buy one and u can hear all u like fan boy
There are advantages to riding a big bike. I did my learners on a 70cc small bike. It was shocking how many cars pulled out in front of me. Cut me off. Tried to merge into me. I wondered how bike riders survived. I ditched the small bike and bought the biggest bike available at the time. A big black cruiser. Instantly riding became safer. Cars seen me, heard me, got outta my way.
I can relate to this statement to a degree. I say to a degree because I don’t have my license or a bike. However growing up I rode dirt bikes and about 5 years ago I visited my father and he and my step mom rode. I went riding with my father a lot. He had a Honda VTX 1800 and my step mom had the 1300. I rode the 1300 first then my fathers. After getting on the 1800 there was no way I could ride the smaller one. The larger bike felt safer and being a big guy, it was just more comfortable for me in every way. He sold the 1300, my step mom took that and he picked up a Rune. That bike was a beast and rode as smooth as a Cadillac. I lost my father last October and I’m now 50 and decided now is the time for me to get my license and a bike and enjoy. I’m eyeing M109’s as my first bike and planning when to take my course. Safe riding!
Enjoy your riding. The good thing is we are smarter now, so hopefully we can keep the power under control. @@tdz69
@@tdz69 Condolences to you all about your dad. Did U get Ur Licence, and what bike did U decide on ? Or are U riding Ur dad's Rune ? Hope Ur out there enjoying the ride. Kind Regards and a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Hey I'm 68 years old I have a crotch rocket you're never too old
Bruhhh i live in FL and i couldnt even imagine being cold and not ridin. Winter bad for my bones. Ridin all year baby. Good luck brotha, M109 Forver✊🏾✊🏾
How is the air-cooled engine work out for you? Does it do fine in the summer heat?
Stock, the heat sucked, but I was also coming from a liquid-cooled bike. I added a heat shield and good to go and I just got used to it. I think they'll all get pretty hot in traffic though, but when you're moving, open the air vents and you're good to go.
I know this is a late comment lol. I found your channel and this vid while researching the M109R. If I pull the trigger this will be my 6th bike, When I bought my first bike, I went for my dream bike that I had always wanted...Harley Road King, and after one ride...she had to go lol so I traded for a Harley dyna low rider. That bike was a lot easier to ride, but I still didn't feel it. I was starting to think it was because maybe I just "thought" I wanted to ride, so I gave it another try and bought a sportster...turns out, it was just Harleys that were the let down to me. I built them up too high in my mind all the years of dreaming about them, then they didn't live up to my vision of being this badass biker ripping down the road lol. I then rode a buddies Honda shadow and loved it, then got one, still have it, got a VTX1300, loved it, traded up to the VTX1800 awesome bike. and now im ready for the beast of cruisers...the M109R!!!
Brother i have a m109 and the fact this is your verrry first bike Amazes me !!!!! It really does
I actually think this is the way to do it. I bought a Honda Shadow 750 for my first bike. My wife was anti-motorycle, so i never considered the passenger seat when buying a bike. I WHIPPED that shadow. For exactly 3 weeks. In week 2 i got my wife on the back. She loved it. I immediately looked for a big touring bike with a bigger, more comfortable back seat. Went up to a Vulcan 1700 with V&H, pC5, Ivanized, and put a batwing on it. The increased power and weight made me slow down. Im actually way more careful BECAUSE of the power, weight and cost. Dont get a beginner bike. Get your ideal bike. Its better to be scared for the first 100 miles than it is to be comfortable.
I got my license at 17, and started on a 75 CB750. It was more bike than I ever needed back in the early '90s. Weel after nearly 30 years without, the bug bit me again. I wanted a mid-level "beginner" bike to get my sea legs back, but i just couldn't find something that fit me right in the smaller class. The M109R was one of my 3 finalists, but i ended up with a Yamaha Warrior 1700. I know what you're talking about, with that 1st gear throttle sensitivity! I almost slid off the back of her a couple weeks ago... a light turned green while I was slowing down, then rolled on the throttle in 2nd gear 😂
She sweet bro
