Ridgefield is for wealthy people. If you can't afford $800,000 home, don't even think about it. While it is booming, I can't imagine it will ever be as big as Vancouver. I just don't know that 200,000 people could afford expensive houses. The rich people there will keep the low income, homeless, undesirables in Vancouver area for a very long time. They all want to crowd in Ridgefield while, somehow by magic, keeping the small town feel. It's basically like an affluent Texas suburb with nicer natural landscapes.

Vancouver’s politicians are what needs to be replaced. Vancouver would make a great “Park & Ride” to someplace else location. Anywhere else!

When I lived in Vancouver, it seemed like the main goal was to “move away from Vancouver”. Cigarettes had just gone from $.45 to $.50 a pack. Beer went from a dollar a six pack to $1.05 for Bohemian. My brother and I found two houses for $60K on NE 86th Avenue. He bought one, “but I bailed”. I did not want us to become enemies. I bought a house in Camas, the Fern Prairie neighborhood, where “it is like Vancouver used to be, friendly people, and no scumbag politicians”. Then, the greedy politicians annexed Vancouver. Guess where? NE 86th Avenue! And brother Gary, was “living back in the terrible city limits of the greedy yuppies that took over Vancouver, “and are ruining it”. “It was nice, so was Portland”. Not any more, it’s depression time once again, in America, then, The Next Revolution. Marriage and Real Estate, are the two biggest scams out there today. See a lawyer “FIRST”, before you try, and definitely “before you buy”.

What if there is an HOA that states no ADUs on the property?

I have to audited your channel and see your video thumbnails are very eye-catching but if you use correct channel tags and video tags, then you will get more views and subscribers.

How this works out depends more on the type of people who occupy the ADUs, duplexes, etc and not on the particulars of housing design. My concern is that various "social" agencies will get involved and try to cram a bunch of non-housebroke losers into the new housing types. Basically, people who can't get their act together to afford normal housing of existing types also tend to be the troublemakers and "neighbors from hell" that you wouldn't want next door no matter what type of housing it was.

Hate this! Spokane did this and it only served to bring more crime to the residential neighborhoods. The apartments brought drugs and other issues which brought down the property values. My daughter had to relocate because her house was close to the new complexes and things started being stolen from her yard and the unsupervised kids in these new housing units caused problems at the bus stop and in the neighborhood
