Hate this! Spokane did this and it only served to bring more crime to the residential neighborhoods. The apartments brought drugs and other issues which brought down the property values. My daughter had to relocate because her house was close to the new complexes and things started being stolen from her yard and the unsupervised kids in these new housing units caused problems at the bus stop and in the neighborhood

The only positive about an ADU are for the kids who are moving back home with their parents, or say elderly care because the cost of senior care is astronomical. Otherwise, Wa state has created another shady way to funnel more money into politician’s pockets, while taking more from things already owned by the people.

HOAs are garbage we need individually built single family homes without HOAs. These bills suck.

There was a report years ago about how building 2 smaller bridges, outside of Camas/Troutdale, the other outside of ST Helens area to Washington would be far, far cheaper and would help traffic more. Why is this being overlooked? Where is the money going?

I-5 bridge is so needed. I'll happily pay a toll to get this done. It's so outdated. One of the largest challenges is actually the re-routing / revising of the on/off ramps on both sides. Either way, that bridge really needs to be re-built. I've walked across it and seeing it up close like that is really eyebrow raising.

The issue I have is this is happening in my neighborhood . The only people who will truly benefit are the realtors and banks . The “ houses “ I have seen and walk through are tiny with no garages and the prices are in the upper 700K on up . It is particularly a major win for the city . What I mean is where a property only has one tax , that same property will have multiple taxes . But don’t expect those taxes to actually be used resourcefully .

Lemme guess, a bunch of apartments owned by black rock, vanguard or state street that will have minimal space and expensive rentals. Never mind, you lost me at smart cities, now I know it’s your scum!
