Muhammad Ali - clip from The Greatest (1977) starring Ali himself.

Clip from the movie "The Greatest". I just liked this clip a lot. It doesn't necessarily reflect my own private views. But I thought it was courageous of him.

Clip from the movie "The Greatest". I just liked this clip a lot. It doesn't necessarily reflect my own private views. But I thought it was courageous of him. Ali is told by the white army recruiter that he'll probably be given a soft position if he served in Vietnam, so he should take it. He gently explains that he would rather go to jail than be used as a recruiting tool to recruit other blac...

Clip from the movie "The Greatest". I just liked this clip a lot. It doesn't necessarily reflect my own private views. But I thought it was courageous of him. Ali says "No Vietcong ever called me a N ." There are places in Miami Beach he's not allowed to go. It's not his war and he's not going to go there to fight for the white man.
jones was a great actor in the right roles but for a black guy he doesnt look or sound a thing like malcolm x. they didnt get the right actor for this at all
if every man had the Cassius Clay courage, wouldn't be the American genocide in Vietnam
This is one of the reasons Muhammad Ali is a legend and an Icon
If y’all notice they called him Cassius Clay at this time his name was no longer that.
What a dirty world we are living in.
Vietnam was a lie and a complete waste of time! And we should have been focusing on the civil rights war going on here in the 🇺🇸. Ali did the right thing by refusing to be inducted!
Will smith did a better job
Bro's is such a Menance
He knew they would send him out there and kill him. He wasn't daft. Rest in peace King
Better than Get Rich Or Die Tryin'
The end of the video makes me laugh for some reason lol
i aint got no quarrell with the viet cong, viet cong aint done me no wrong.
Muhammad Ali .👍👍👍👍👍💪💪💪💪
Ironically the actor who played the major played a counterculture character, Dr. Severan, in Star Trek.
Major Canlan looked so pissed when the other dude came in n talked to The Heavyweight Champion of the world Mr. Muhammad Ali respectfully
This why my favorite fighter Muhammad Ali is a CHAMP! The Vietnam War is much more deadly than the Afghanistan War.
They knew it was true
Clay? Sorry there's no Clay here.
negative Muhamed Ali you refused protect US citizens and you refused respect American you refused that where do you belong if I was a black man like you I will never refuse service from my land in my home or my people i’ll fight for that I did fight for that
Protect US citizens from who? The Viet Cong weren't invading the US.
The GOAT
Ali saw what a useless war Vietnam was and the senseless loss of lives on both sides. The horrific abuse our brave young soldiers faced when they came back home. Some damn old white men wanted to flex, not realizing the other guys could flex too!
❣️❣️❣️
He looks more like Louis Farrakhan than Malcolm X.
you are right. and I expected a better acting of jones in this case
muhammad ali is never die is mashallah .
CAME HERE AFTER WHAT HAPPEND IN THE AFGHANISTAN
This video not only showing why Ali refused but it shows us 🇺🇸 is a Blood sackers 👍
I agree with what he did. So many African Americans were sent to die for a country that treated them like s**t. The draft in my opinion was a huge human right violation & so many forced to go deliberately aimed away from the enemy as they didn’t want to kill anyone. WWII & I were different, the troops were angry about the Lousitania & Pearl Harbour. Vietnam they had zero idea or belief in what they were fighting for. So many lives were ruined physically & mentally for a War that was pointless. My dad was in the army but I could not be a soldier, not in my nature to be one but I support them. I’m not anti-army I’m against forcing people to join.
The legend the champ. May ALLAH have mercy on him 🤲😭😭💪
Ali does a great job acting playing his younger self. Amazing
Anyone know where I can find the full movie?
United state of Amalekite Nazizionisten
Where can I find this movie
Damn! Ali had balls dude. Ali really didnt gave a shit just wanted to stand up and protect his conscience. If it was me id be trembling to my feet knowing that im dealing with the authorities here. His confidence is so inspiring.
Honestly, I don't blame the Champ. Because they were going to use him as the People's Champion to push people to go to war and go die for a country that would not do the same for them.
A true man of integrity
Ali wasn’t acting, he was tellin tha truth 💯💯💯✊🏾
Ali was right for refusing to be drafted. This was a different war than WWII. Many Vietnam war veterans were treated like crap.
I watched a documentary done 20 odd years ago, and it followed a group of Vietnam vets preparing to go back to visit the country 20 odd years after the war. This was their first time back since and they told stories, one of the fellas told of his best friend, who went crazy out there, got sent home and tried to get sent back to Nam. He apparently committed suicide at home after trying to get sent back. It was also told guys were making their injuries worse so they’d get sent home. I can’t imagine anything like that.
CERTAIN COLORS IN POWER HAVE A PROBLEM TELLING THE TRUTH TO AFRICAM AMERICANS! l congress is full of them and have been for years! lying bastards!`
You can already hear his speech starting to thicken here - l believe this was filmed in late 1976 into early 1977. If only he retired after the third Frazier fight, or at the very least after the Spinks re-match.
If he would have boxed less. Like George Foreman did when he took 1o years off in his prime. It could have prevented a lot of the deterioration. It's sad to see that happen to him because he would have been such a great American in the spotlight to speak on the important social issues going on in our country & our world.
You going to jail... I'm going to jail too.
I said I'm a Islamic champion.. I'm a American Negro...world heavyweight champion and Islam is my religion...I said.. lol
Islamic Champion
where can i watch the full movie pleaseeeeee
Absolutely I love it.👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Am not muslim and dont desire to be....but i respect the Champs position for standing up for blacks who couldnt stznd up for themselves! FHC!(fly high champ).
Surrender to mighty Allah Akbar before stand infront of judgement day.Think again 🧠
The way James Earl Jones spoke in that scene was a prophecy to the current state of Disney and how they drifted with Star Wars.
The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad did this first and guided Ali through this tough challenge in his life. The same man that raised up Malcolm X and other greats.
Fard Mohammad played trick on Elijah in Hamtramck (Detroit)Michigan .They have nothing with Holly Quran or Prophet Mohammad peace be upon on him
Malcolm x later Malik shabbaz found truth include Mohammad Ali rip
Ali and Malcolm X were great men that impacted history. They ended up being true Muslims. Elijah Muhammad was an impostor, a false prophet with adultery and the blood of Malcolm on his hands. All his teachings were wrong and both Malcolm and Ali discovered that. With all due respect, you should never mention Elijah Muhammad in the same sentence as these two historical figures.
The Greatest of all times, the Champ, RIP Mohammad Ali.
The Greatest of all times, the Champ, RIP.
joe louis = GOAT
@@exterminator_1986 Maybe for you, Nice! For me, J L was a great boxer but Muhammad Ali was more than boxing thus he is the Greatest of All Times for me.
