I just got my ANC 4 yesterday. Since it was what I had, I went ahead and used my end fed multi band antenna as the noise antenna. All I can say is that so far, I've taken a noise floor of S5 and brought it down to S2. I haven't even tried any other noise antennas yet. My huge noise problem of course went away the day I got the TimeWave. I was hitting....get this, S10 over 9 in noise alone 10 meters. I never would have bought this if it weren't for this three or four day noise problem. I am now very glad that it happened. Now I realize that I can my normal S3 of noise and take it down to S2 or less. I'm a big DX guy, so this is huge for me. I should be able now to hear contacts I couldn't hear before. I. E., More DX contacts. Imagine hearing people you simply couldn't hear before because they were covered by noise. Very, very, very cool. And all for $189.00. well worth the investment. I look at it this way. My number 1 hobby is ham radio. So if I can save one weekend of ham radio with this device, it's well worth it. I work long hard hours during the week. One weekend alone is worth the cost of the unit. Does that make sense?
