Santiago Airport in the Dominican Republic is in a valley and is common that in the mornings we have ground fog. An IFR fight plan is needed for takeoff.

After watching the latest video from the Kodiak MD channel, the mere mention of a Kodiak plane makes me cringe.
It's a great plane and I am very happy with it.
I am enjoying the plane a lot.
@@EduardoGarciaKodiakDr Amir was loving it as well until he reported an issue where they didn't back up their warranty. If true, no excuse on a multi million dollar aircraft. I haven't heard whether they stepped up and did the right thing. Hoping you don't experience a similar situation. Sometimes when a company starts playing games on warranty issues that is a first sign they may be having financial issues. And if they go under your warranty not worth the paper it is written on. You will just be in line behind the other creditors. Want to add. Though most companies can be at risk that is why I would of leaned towards the Caravan even though the Kodiak has some advantages. Cessna a more based company. But it comes down to how risk adverse you are. I'd stay on top of scheduled maintenance so you have your bases covered on your end. Your Kodiak is a beautiful aircraft and I wish you have no issues like Dr. Amir.

The flaps malfunctioned, they were locked in place from what Dr.Amir said in his video.
I hope your ITT sensor doesn’t fail like Dr Amir’s did.
I hope the turbo charger doesn’t melt, while in flight, like it did with Dr. Amir.

I recently watched a video about an American surgeon that bought a new Kodiak 100. He says his experience with Daher and Kodiak is a nightmare. He paid for the expensive warranty plan and Kodiak has been less than cooperative after a window cracking, engine parts failing, paint peeling and Kodiak mechanics scratching his windows. That is a beautiful aircraft and I hope you keep us informed on how you are treated by Kodiak in the future. May you have fair skys and tailwinds
