Super ! Je découvre avec plaisir cette vidéo....J'ai du mal à reconnaître Tony Meehan... Est ce bien lui à la batterie ? (Un play back ...puisque les guitares ne sont pas branchées ! ) En 1959 j' avais 8 ans ! Les Shadows se révèleront à moi quatre ans plus tard et depuis j'en joue aussi (de temps en temps) et je les écoute tous les jours ! Ils demeurent mes références et je les considère comme mes grands frères comme pour les Beatles d'ailleurs.... J'écoute aussi Cliff Richard et je suis abonné au Fan club France... La musique des Shadows traverse le temps, elle est donc devenue intemporelle ! Merci pour ce voyage dans le temps !

This is taken from one part of the very successful 4 part TV series 'Cliff' where the first part was screened on Saturday November 21st 1981. On the next part on the 'New York' song at the end of the video Cliff sings: 'You scare us stiff, and that's for me and my names Cliff!' This is a great video but it would be just as brilliant if you could please do a 'part 2' which includes what i've mentioned and a lot, lot more!🥰

The Australian part of Sir Cliff's 40th Anniversary tour was actually only a very small part. In fact some of us (including Cliff) were still celebrating his 40 years plus in showbusiness as late as September 1999 when 'Real As I Wanna Be' album was released in America when Cliff visited there and returned to Weybridge by September 16th when I (and a friend) met him outside his gates.🥰

This footage shines the light on just how massively talented Cliff Richard was/is. The man could sing circles around many, many, people. He could move as he shows here in Always Guaranteed. He had dynamite stage presence. His understanding of the inner workings of song writing and producing was stellar. He could burn a great lick off an electric guitar. Yes he did not play lead in Move It in this footage but he certainly did the intro. He's done it before on Starvin Marvin's 59 Strat. Guitarists have said they practiced for months, and longer, before they could play that Ernie Shear opening yet Cliff has been playing it since he was a very young man. He states he is not a good guitarist but I disagree. He certainly could hold his own... Too many have blathered on how he's not cool, he's a square, he can't sing, he can't dance blah blah blah, yet, without really paying attention to the level to which the man's talent allowed him to rise in his accomplishments. The majority of us will never know personally just one individual who can perform at that level. I certainly won't. John Lydon aka Johnny Rotten has said his first concert he ever went to (with his parents) was a Cliff Richard concert. He said he dug it and it helped him to know what he wanted to do in life. He was not ashamed to declare Cliff Richard as his first live concert experience. Mr. Sex Pistols himself. Elton John has given Cliff similar props. This footage tells me everything a music aficionado(a) should know about Sir Cliff Richard. Not only is he astutely articulate, had perfect timing and rhythm musically, a top tier artist, he is such a nice chap to boot. Kind, gentle in speech, intelligent and deeply respectful of his fan base, he was and still is the MAN, the R&R pioneer, the living legend and yes I will continue to say, in many capacities, the GOAT.
