How to wrap clothesline with fabric to make a basket.
In this tutorial I show you how to cut strips of fabric for a fabric-wrapped clothesline basket. I also go over how to wrap the clothesline and attach two shorter pieces of clothesline together.

How wide are the strips you are cutting?
So you are using raw edges. I know some people will iron one edge (the exposed edge) for no loose threads. Can this be washed? Also do you find that people like the loose threads? Thanks for a great video.
Raw edges only, I wrapped almost a mile of clothesline for just Christmas orders, I work a full time job and am going to school full time, there is no way I have time to iron edges. Some fabrics fray more than others, so I avoid them. I've never had a single complaint in the thousands I've made about the edges.
And yes you can wash them but they do soften when you wash them.
awesome Video. I think a camera 3leg would be better though. Its wobbley and you hear the person breathing a lot..
Fabric should be cut on bias. You need that bit of stretch to wrap clothesline without any issues.
I use scraps so I can’t cut on the bias, but I have not had any issues
Is that a cotton clothes line cord?
Yes use cotton so you can wind the fabric tightly.
does it matter if you have different size fabric width in the same bowl??
It doesn't matter at all. This isn't one of those crafts where everything is exact.
Wow! You are amazing. Thank you for the video!
I didn’t see a posted video for the sewing!

I have made a circular mat but it turned out not quite round. Is it because my starting circle was off?
Yes, I would say that's what happened. If I think my shape is going to be off my first 5 or so rounds, I try to shape it to a round.
