I'm an adoptive mother x 3 and I am so grateful that we didn't have a 6 month span of time between our childrens' hospital stays and our first visits together. I don't think our oldest child's birth mother could've made it to that first meeting had she needed to wait. We began our visits with # 2 and # 3 when they were weeks old and our meetups 2.5 hours away have floated along as needed since then. I hope this time limit is lifted when a Birth Mother feels the need to see their child. Bonding can happen any time and having an hour meeting with a bio parent is not going to stop or change bonding.

I came here because I needed to find this ad I just saw and say how ironic it is your mom stuck by you and was there to show you the way and that was the one thing you said you needed and how important what the child needs most is and you didn't give that child that. I'm absolutely thrilled you didn't murder the child yes and I understand it was a struggle but this is so ironic and sad. That child now lives thinking my mom never wanted me and her self was more important and you had your mom but nope not me.you said u can't imagine doing any of that without your mom there imagine living your whole life without your mom there.

I know you have the right to make your own choices, and please forgive me if this sounds mean , your Mom stuck by you and made you feel better about what you had done good, bad or ugly : and you put a lot of thought into putting your baby up for adoption , Did you put a lot of thought into keeping and raising your child, or were you looking for a way to undo what you had done, and what about the baby's Dad did you even have that conversation with him to see how he felt about it , you put a lot of emotions into talking about your mothers love for you, and how sad it made you feel when she didn't say she loved you that one time ; your mother truly do love you because she raised you no matter what her situation was , and you could have done the same thing , that's what mothers do; no matter what . Best Regards

Whoa. Let's not judge. This is a small clip of a much bigger story. We dont know alot of it. What I do know...it takes a sacrificial love, a love far beyond alot of folks comprehension, to make a conscious choice to give your baby up for adoption. If you can't quite understand that (and that's understandable) give her the credit that she still chose LIFE. beautiful story.

@@darrinthurman4414 :There is nothing that you can say to me for me to to change my mind a mother's love is something that you may not understand, a true mother sacrifice herself to raise and care for her child and no matter what she will not turn that responsibility over to strangers , I never heard her say that there was a Father in her life so maybe her mother was in a similar situation , if so her mother took responsibility for her actions and raised her, and she could have done the same thing, in her comments she couldn't even except the fact that her mother failed to say I love you on that occasion, that shows me that her mother is very important to her, her baby won't have that opportunity to bond with her that way and her baby will never experience the love of her grandmother, I think it's a sad story, I am disappointed in her , I'm not judging her I'm just keeping it Real. 😞

Thank you for sharing your stories and creating positive adoption awareness. As a birthmother myself, I also have a wonderful adoption story with my birthson and his amazing family. It is unfortunate that more positive adoption awareness and understanding does not exist and there continues to be judgment and misconceptions. This is a wonderful video.
