I'm giving up the ghost on what has long been a secret tone in my arsenal, and how to achieve it.

two classic cars abandoned for 50+ years!
มุมมอง 2194 ปีที่แล้ว
I found these two cars that look like they dove off a dirt road nearly 60 years ago!
Wow, sounds so cool!!
I had an old clone theory that would "act up" sometimes and it sounded great.
Really neat pedal! EHX are truly masters of analog technology. It would have to be "studio only" though, I could imagine accidentally destroying the faders with my foot trying to hit the stomp switches.
@bumblefritz absolutely. If you notice, 3 of my faders are gone from just that!
What is this, i hade mine for 4 years everyday and not once it fall to start just using The key, some thing is wornout.
😀😀 timestamp 3:33ish 👌👌🤌🤙🤙
Rad Damn ... That's radical Matt hell yeah
glad my 82 turbo starts when i turn the key LOL it does run like shit for about a minute then clears up. k-jet thing suppose.

Well, the 16 valve with apc just has objectively a lot more power. But the 8 valve ones are cool too
6:21 they are all in the engine shroud.
Any new videos planned?
I never sell my hunk a junks. My old Dodge is falling apart but I refuse to sell it lol
This is a cool place. I just got an 8door Greenbrier I need parts for. Where is this located?
Here's another Greenbrier still going strong: th-cam.com/video/Qyx2kgvgb5k/w-d-xo.html
Here's a fully restored and functioning Greenbrier....enjoy: th-cam.com/video/TlKFyaBfkRc/w-d-xo.html
Dude! You are looking at $20,000 to rebuild any of these....worth it...nah. I like your optimism. And reality says, no way. I'm a Greenbrier fan...but these need to be allowed a graceful death in the Oregon rainforest. :)
Not sure what this narrator had been smoking...there are complete wrecks....rusted, rotted, destroyed. I suppose if you have unlimited cash you might restore them. To say he is an optimist is a vast understatement. :)
What a great place to store an ancient vehicle...in a rainforest guaranteed to accelerate rust and cover the outside with moss and provide a perfect habitat for critters. What could possibly go wrong!
I rebuilt a '63 Greenbrier as a teenager in 1970, with my brother and a neighbor who was a Boeing engineer. We did a complete engine rebuild. How I wish I had kept it. Amazing van, great to drive. Sad to see these rotting in the graveyard. You wanna fix these...get out your checkbook. :)
Ah, another Corvair collection in all it's bucolic splendor. Save for the aluminum oil pans and such it just looks like a bunch of disorganized junk strewn outside exposed to the elements or in a lean to or hut piled on top of each other. Sad really.
Looks like a lot of junk to me. Probably not even worth dragging that stuff out of the woods. Even some of them would break apart during the process, being the wheels, wheel bearings and brakes are seized up. Did you ever do anything with these? The animals will bring sticks into those cars. Do you know why? They must be Oregon Beavers.
Youre right really. They are in very bad shape. Theres allot of corvairs for sale in much better cindition for not much money at all. They remain there to this day! And will continue to do so for quite some time i bet. They would makr great vin swap cars. The sticks are from ground squirrels. Or maybe large rodents. Probably not beavers, but either way it's nasty!
HOLA. TENGO. UN. CORVAIR. 64. BUSCO. UNA. TRAMICIOS. Y. UN. DIFERENCIAR. 32. DIENTE
Considering the bodywork already done it appears to not be original paint. Several spots such as the rear bulkhead have two colors of paint. I wouldn't worry about keeping it original as it already has been altered. But I could see making it the original color.
Cool post. Thanks! Dig this th-cam.com/video/YXxgatAznHU/w-d-xo.html
Save 'em brother! I'll take a Rampside...
Cool post Thanks. My first car was a turbo vair I bought from the guy next door for $150.00 in 1971. Dig this th-cam.com/video/YXxgatAznHU/w-d-xo.html . I think the batteries use a lot of silver. Wonder if my vair is in the junk yard.
It hurts to see all of those going back to the earth they came from.
did you ever restore the Spyder ? If not and would part it out, I need ath dash for my 64 Spyder...... PLEASE , no one has any fuel gauges.... willing to buy the whole cluster.....
I Had a 1981. At the time, my brother had an 1982 with APC. My turbo gauge needle went to the border of the orange and the red. His only went 1/2 way into the orange. The 1981 was more like yours, but I had power windows in the front only with the switches on the dashboard. Back windows were crank - I had a 4 door. The key broke in the ignition (stuck in the on position ) so I had to hot wire mine too and pull the fuel pump fuse to shut her down. My version of hot wiring just involved taking the cover off the ignition and sending power to the starter. Luckily I had the full wiring diagram (even though the ignition wiring was obvious) If you asked me back then “do you have power or manuals windows?” My answer was “yes.”
Great video!
So cool
Great video!
My bro this is rad
This is a 16 valve. The 8 valve has the distributor almost vertical from the block, on the other side. :-)
This is a 100%, no question about it, without a doubt, as a matter of fact, and I dont want to be rude... But most definitely a 8v motor. Maybe your thinking of the b motor. It was around late the 99 and for the first year and a half 900. I have a very early 8v h engine. Turbo at that. As rough as my car is in this video, its quite a rare saab for the states!
@@mattbrown7365 Every day is a learning day.
Any wagons??
No.. no need to do any of this if the vehicle was maintained properly. Had many turbo and non-turbo SAABs and never had issues like this ...Oh well ... good luck
Big keyword there is "if" the vehicle was maintained properly. This particular Saab sat in a field for years close to a decafe before I got a hold of it. And its slowly coming back to life.
Yikes 😱
Sweet! I've owned 16 Corvairs and currently own 5. I have a 62 Spyder (non running), a running 63 9 passenger van, another 63 panel van I'm parting out (floor is gone in rear) no-dent doors, good bumper, etc. A 61 coupe that runs. A 66 Monza with brand new engine but body has cancer in the normal spots. A 63 Monza was the first car I bought in high school and I feel in love. This was a great video. I also live in Oregon.
Just make an electric out of it... I would... Imagine, better design that the other PU's
Lucky you, we've got not much of anything here. I'm looking for a nice Rampside daily driver myself for the summer months.
This particular SAAB is a total junk.
That’s what makes it glorious haha
What a gem.
What a load of nonsense . Starter fluid in a saab never, you obviously know nothing about the fuel system and even less about the bosch injection system. A saab will start summer or winter if the injection system is set up correctly. The fuel pump should only run when the system detects an ignition system pulse.Saab turbo h type engines run sweet from the first start, idle and mixture control all done by a mechanical constant injection system.
Easy Poindexter, this isn't a serious how to video!
@@mattbrown7365 NASA will be contacting you shortly, lol fun video man!!
I’m surprised he doesn’t just install an old Ford Model A hand crank... that would be suitable it seeems.
My 85’ model was non turbo. I started it every morning for school by…sinking the clutch and turning the damn key in the ignition 😂
I have an 85 non turbo as well and it's got 523,000 miles and runs like a top
Who puts a current date sticker on the front plate?
The state of Oregon! Its required.
Years ago, almost 35 to be more exact, the state of Wisconsin required them on both the back and the front plates. Since then the DOT has gotten cheap and only gives you one current year sticker for the rear plate. Now if the DOT could make drivers display the current year sticker. A lot of cars around here are not even current.
I know one. Buddy in Spring lake NC
Awesome, thanks for posting.
Corvan. 95 just means a panel van. 95 inch wheelbase But all of them were 95 inch wheelbase including the rampsides
Thank you!
