You guys are doing such a great job! I admire how well you are advocating for Ellie! She is such a lucky kiddo to have you as her momma <3 My husband went through the process to be a PSW for our godson who is autistic, it is quite the process, but easy at the same time, just lots of paper work! So happy to be able to follow along this process!

My godson does ABA therapy it has helped so much!!!! His is in home <3

I am super impressed and happy for you guys that you got that diagnosis so quickly! And so early! To have that diagnosis before 5 too, man, you guys are doing great for her. This diagnosis should help open up other doors for you all too!

I read something somewhere that always stuck with me. Something along the lines of dealing with grief and loss for parents of special needs children, that as a counselor we would need to help guide the parents through the grieving process. That you must first, grieve the loss of the "perfect/ideal" child, to then fully accept and grow with your child's journey into their own life of their disability/ability. Wish i could remember where i read that though. You guys are doing a great job, meeting ellie where she is at. Well done mama, and dada! Sending good vibes your way <3

Autism can be a scary thing to hear, my godson is autistic and i have been working with youth and adults with autism for over a decade now, if you ever need someone to talk to, bounce ideas off of or anything! Ellie and Daphne are about a month apart, would love to get together sometime!
