Finally edited my Tochigi trip during Golden Week!! Ashikaga Flower park is famous for their wisteria flowers (fujinohana) but sadly, they were not in full bloom. But still, it was beautiful. We also had the time to go strawberry picking near the flower park. I think it was the end of the strawberry season, but they were ripe! Definitely recommend this place if you haven't gone!!

Since we couldn't do a "Hanami" because of COVID-19, we walked through some of the places where sakura was in full bloom. 1st location: Kandagawa riverside walk 2nd location: Railroad track near Higashi-nakano station 3rd location: Mohri Garden in Roppongi Hills

Checking out the new station in the JR Yamanote line (Takanawa Gateway st.) that was completed in March of 2020. We stopped by Hamamatsucho, where we had dinner, and found a temple just in the middle of all the office buildings.

This is the last part of the walk through Kagurazaka, where you can see more of the Edo-like features of this town. The stone pavement that suddenly appears in the alley adds a nice touch making the atmosphere great at this place!!

First video is our walk through Kagurazaka area in July 2020. Part 2 will be coming soon! Kagurazaka is one of the areas near Shinjuku-city, but once you go through an alley, you can find an Edo-like serene atmosphere; a good getaway from the hectic cities. The stone-paved roads also adds a good effect!
