In early 1973, a peace treaty was signed that "guaranteed" the right of the South to continue on as a separate country. B-52's were the mainstay of the South's defense. South Vietnam FELL, two years after the American military departed, ONLY because the leftist American Congress REFUSED to allow B-52's to destroy the invading North Vietnamese army (the way B-52's had done in the 1972 invasion)....AND...that same leftist American Congress cut ALL military defense spending to the South Vietnamese military...IN THE MIDDLE...of the North's invasion. In other words the Vietnam War was WON "on the field" but SOLD OUT by the neo-Communists in Congress.
