A trick we used to do to avoid bunk sh!t. Ask to see their money. Ask them to flash their wad of cash, because if they’re gonna scam, they won’t have a wad from being out there all day. Don’t trust broke dope dealers.

You do need people and community, and you do likely need to talk about it regularly, but this certainly does NOT mean that AA meetings are your only option. I know people who go to Smart recovery meetings and other methods because they didn’t resonate with AA, and they’re doing well 😊

Kevin. I have a riveting recovery story. Losing everything, my career as a firefighter from a full fledged fent addiction. I’m in recovery now and looking to get my story out there to help others and also help myself.

I did like Kevin did. I been to detox a bunch of times and 28 day rehab out patient programs going to meetings. But at the end I kick on my mom’s couch and started making meetings. But in my case I knew about the program and been through it.

The early times of getting sober we called it white knuckle days.

That getting drugged story is nuts she don’t even know anything how she banged her head. She didn’t say if she was violated or if they even checked.

The economy was different from when her time to her sisters. That’s a struggle for the dad to make it for his family.

I’m a former I’v heroin addict my clean date is nov 19th 2009. Two years ago I went to a social security review of a disability. The dr that did my review was so high during it he was nodding out during the exam. I didn’t even know what to do. I started to kinda mess with him. I worried if I turned him in he would revoke my diagnosis and I would loose my ssi. I’ve never been around anyone that would get loaded like that other than myself. It really sucks. I can only imagine if he was doing real medical procedures.
