I played survival mode a couple of times when it was first introduced but have not been back to it since.

When I try to play free play mode it says to overwrite my story mode files what do I do

Also I now need to replace the front bumper on the Nissan Tida and the wheels since the car needs new tires and we just got some wheels and tires off another Tida in the junkyard with good tread for cheap the bumper is also off that same Tida found it in the same colour we need also I found a gold Usdm spec Ce Corolla with a good front end which I took to put on my car since I never did fix its front end damage the damage itself isn't bad it just got pushed in a little bit so I might not even need to replace most of what I bought

Well the Jeep broke AGAIN so first the brake rotors were replaced a week ago by the dealership and they were already strangely worn out so my friend asked me to have a look at that I found sand in the brake pads now I don't recall any car needing sand to brake but what I do recall is sand scraping against the pads and rotors wearing it out quicker so Jeep is purposely trying to break the car and also the A/C stopped working earlier today and the problem was the A/C condenser or something THAT ISN'T SUPPOSED TO BREAK AFTER 4 YEARS 20 years later and 200000km offroading, slamming the gas pedal through mud doing alot of stuff I probably shouldn't have done my Altis has never EVER needed that to be replaced my 400000km S-65 no where on the full service history does it show that ever going bad yet this 4 year old Jeep that just so happened to only come off warranty a couple months ago just had it break also when I checked the A/C gas it was overfilled by alot the day before this happened and this is all done by the Jeep dealer until a day ago that Suv saw no one other than Jeep it didn't see random side of the road mechanic who will break your window trying to change a battery it didn't see A/C guy who doesn't even know what A/C means it saw no one other than Jeep which I guess those guys work for apparently also the Suv's leaking gearbox fluid but you know what I'm not gonna mess with that it took 2 hours to change a door handle it took an hour to take off a brake caliper its gonna take a year to get a gearbox out and another year to even find out what gasket they broke and if I can even take it apart to replace that also we have to replace that condenser unfortunately its not a small leak its so big I couldn't even fill the A/C gas it went in and came straight back out again so somehow someway Jeep overfilling the A/C gas caused the condenser to explode or something even though usually its the hoses that explode from that. We've had to pull the front bumper off which was problematic we've had to pull off the grill and now the hood latch and who knows what else I very much regret calling that 2016 Corolla trash after having to put up with this thing at least the Corolla isn't already having major issues even if the simple stuff is hard to do and the amount of plastic clips in this Jeep is insane everything is held together with plastic instead of actual bolts alright finally after 3 hours of this nonsense its done and at this point I'm not fixing anything American again

Also I forgot to mention the mileage on the blue Altis its done 240,000km and is currently on aftermarket wheels which I’m gonna keep on the car since I like how they look and its really in quite good condition apart from the front end being a different colour

I might also swap a 2zz engine from the Xrs Corolla in it and just have the 1zz as a spare but I’ll figure out if I want to do that or not

And now I hate Jeeps it took me 2 hours to change a door handle on a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee TWO HOURS while on literally every car I own Japanese or German or even British it takes me 5 minutes because on literally every other car they give you a gap in the side of the door to unscrew a screw pull the lock out and the handle comes out, not Jeep they decided to engineer it in such a way you have to pull EVERYTHING off in the door panel to get to the handle EVERYSINGLE THING I had to look up a video so I was sure I wasn't missing that cover and there is literally no area to get the door handle out easily also to hold the window to the motor instead of using screws like any normal person they use plastic tabs meaning I will almost certainly be doing this again when those tabs dry rot out and the window no longer moves, I'm starting to understand why mechanics in America hate their jobs so much if this is what they deal with every single day multiple times a day, the entire assembly had to come out and by the time I even got to remove the door handle the only things left on that door were the door and the mirror NOTHING ELSE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE and quite possibly the worst part about this is no car I've ever had had a door handle that was actually broken off most of the time is was just damaged in someway just maybe the chrome was scratched or something along those lines but this 2021 not even 4 year old Jeep had a completely broken off door handle

Because manufacturers want us to eitehr go to a main dealer or buy a new vehicle. It's why most things these days are engineered to last a set ammount of time. Or to be difficult to be repaired.

The thing about engineers "designing" a car is not quite accurate. Designers, who don't know anything about engineering, design a car. The engineers come up with the way to make it all work. Then the bean counters tell them they can't do all that and have to make it as cheap as they can.

The Scion mini car the IQ, it cost $1,000 to change a headlight because they had to take the complete front end off of the car to get to it.

Also after I'm done with that stupid piece of trash they call a Toyota I'm gonna change the valve cover gasket in the white Altis as its actually started leaking and I'm probably gonna drive it without the engine cover as thats just a plastic piece that hides the engine and I'm gonna paint some stuff but I haven't decided the colour weather its gonna be like a neon green or a bright red if anyone has another suggestion for the colour its very much welcome the car has the exterior colour painted in metallic white and interior is red

Well we also had to replace the headlight bulbs on his 2016 Toyota Corolla and I hate that thing so much now just to replace the headlight bulbs we had to pull the headlight out because there is literally not enough room in the engine to get it out otherwise I find it so ridiculous it has taken me less time to replace a gearbox mount in my Altis than to change HEADLIGHT BULBS in this stupid piece of junk a headlight bulb is something thats meant to go bad at some point and should be easy to replace not take an hour to just get it out

Alright my friends dads window motor in his Nissan Tida stopped working and its been problematic to say the least to even get access to the window motor you need to lower or raise the window to a certain point but we can't do that cause its stuck down so I don't even know how I'm supposed to figure that out never mind I got it to work had to raise it with my hands which took a white but its worked so it should be easy enough from here

What'd be fun is a game where the only goal is to find wrecked or barnfind cars like your given a map and a car and you just drive around find like a S13 Silvia there a barn with an old Ford Escort there a Jeep grand Cherokee on top that hill and also maybe some races that'd be really fun and its kinda insane no one has made a game like that yet

Even the trunk area was all white which is what made me look it up to begin with I saw that and thought "no way thats how it came from the factory"

Also I just found something really interesting about the blue Altis white was never an interior colour for any Altis ever which means thats a conversion so someone whos not me took apart the seats and refinished it with white leather along with the door panels the entire center console the armrest everything which is really weird because I could've sworn I am the only person with enough time and care for a Toyota to do such a thing but apparently not and everything about that looks professionally done too so that car probably had $5,000 put into it just for that since thats probably what it would cost to have someone do all of that also the carpet was also white and the floor mats are the original black which is to be expected white floor mats would probably be all kinds of stained after a week of use

Alright I just got done finding all the issues on the blue Altis first of all the front end needs to be repainted since the front ends silver but the actual crash damage repair seemed to have been done really good all the body lines are straight doesn't sound like bondo was used and there doesn't seem to be anything that has remained damaged from it one of the storage doors from on the center console doesn't close which is a common issue and quite simple to replace the rear speakers don't work front speakers sound awful which doing front speakers on this generation of Corolla is quite hard since they are riveted in and if you are putting aftermarket ones in you need to cut wiring and resolder it but I'm just putting in Oem speakers and the rear speakers are also hard to do you have to pull off the backseat and a bunch of trim pieces to get to it and the speakers in the back aren't riveted in just some bolts also I finally fixed the center A/C vents in my gold Altis it was ridiculous how hard it was to do since its connected to the radio and it was actually broken but I was able to use the one out of the Silver US spec Corolla I got as a parts car since it was the same colour and I also finally got a new trunk trim piece since my mechanic couldn't find one after my car was rear ended so it stayed without one for a while

After seeing that block with two colors and the mention of two face..thinking all your builds should now be batman character color themed :)

Also forgot to mention the outside of the new Altis is horrible only thing it does better is the wheels and the interior panel gaps are noticeable whereas pre accidents my Altis the panel gaps were there but they were much closer to the point you didn't mind or notice them really now of course after it got rear ended by a truck all those panel gaps on the interior panels got quite messed up as the adhesive separated and I'm still working on fixing all of that

Also while it does seem I was choosing some pretty random stuff no one would care about its important to note that these 2004 Altis's brand new were the equivalent of 300000ttd in today's money so the newer one is 140,000ttd more it should be better in everyway for that price

Also I went to look at a brand new 2023 Toyota Corolla Altis cause I was curious and let me tell you that thing is just awful its a $440,000ttd car or in perspective MORE THAN A MERCEDES BENZ C-CLASS and not by a little bit either its a $20,000ttd difference thats a whole car for me so lets go over what it doesn't have first thing it doesn't have Toyota reliability it never will as its a new Toyota not an old one second thing it doesn't have compared to my Altis's from 2004 to 2005 is nice feeling seats my and every Altis with the leather seats has these relatively nice feeling leather seats the new one well not only are leather seats $3,000 extra 3 GRAND and meanwhile the 20k cheaper C class has leather seats on the base model and those are optional real leather the new Altis you only get the fakes and its the hardest most awful feeling seats they feel like plastic they are stiff they will literally give you back pain on any long drive next up it fails the handbrake test my Altis has a real handbrake and a nice one at that wrapped in leather what do you get in the new one a button thats it a plastic button much like the one you would control your window with which brings me to my next point the window controls are paper thin and feel pretty bad the older Altis has nicer ones next up it also fails the steering wheel test the steering wheel while its not horrible the older Altis is nicer and the general interior look is also awful with the older Altis you had some nice two tone interiors the new one you get these weird like fake leather wrapped plastic pieces around the dash the dash itself is awfully shaped compared to mine the seats aren't even 1 colour its some weird multicolored thing also theres nothing to hide the cupholders on the old Altis you had this little flap you could close down to hide the cupholders the new one you get nothing but the cupholder design is better in the new one so credit is due there as the old one you had squares so your drink could tilt but thats just one thing thats better on the new one so another worse thing on the new one is the A/C controls on the older Altis you had this unique digital A/C system where you had buttons instead of dials and a nice screen which also was made well since I have never seen one where the electronics broke its always just a fuse if it stops working the new altis they used a generic A/C system used on basically ever other new Toyota nothing luxurious about that also with the older Altis you had a truly really nice radio all the lights was in the same bright neon green the rest of the interior lights light up as for the A/C controls new Altis you get a giant screen also new Altis has blank switches so many blank buttons and while it does have some things my Altis doesn't I can put all those things in my Altis for cheap infact you can get a bluetooth connecter to play music from your phone and answer calls from it and it just plugs into the cigarette lighter and now my Altis has most of the features of the new one and the only downside is I can't smoke but I don't smoke anyway and I know that exists because thats what I used while my Altis's Cd player was broken also my Altis has better dome light controls better sunvisor mirrors when compared to the new Altis as well as a matter of fact there are only 3 things that the new Altis has that will be hard to put in my 20 year older one those are a latch to pop the trunk from outside the car push button start and rear A/C vents but none of that is worth $420000ttd extra

Yessss my summer car would be sooo cool again

Well I finally got around to fixing some stuff on my Altis passenger folding mirror's been broken since I got the car finally changed the motor which was extremely difficult the rear left door lock was well not really broken that part was also not working since I got the car all that was wrong with that was the connecter disconnected itself not sure how though also I got a set of 24 of these little clip on things that hide the screws for the door panels as the ones on the gold Altis were completely dry rotted and completely broke apart and the white Altis they were just missing so I have 16 left for if that happens again and the paint has unfortunately started peeling off the cars mostly aluminum so shouldn't rust but I'm still gonna repaint it gonna do it the factory colour which is the same gold also I've bought another Altis it was extremely cheap its also an 04 also gold also gold interior and in quite nice shape some minor mods its got aftermarket wheels and trd seat covers and a trd steering wheel cover for only $15,000ttd I bought a set of 14 inch chrome wheels for it bought some chrome accents and another sport flare kit this time with the spoiler also the car only has 40000km probably original since it does look pretty new which is why I don't intend on doing any hard to reverse or unreversible mods to it its such a new car I don't think it deserves to have that done to it so everything I do on that car will take 30 seconds to remove except the wheels also bought another one with that Altis its one that also means alot to me as that might have been my first car its a blue one with white interior and wood grain and when I bought my Altis that was another one I was considering out of the 3 there was the blue one a red one and the gold one I bought the gold one but I wanted all 3 its in a much worse state than when I almost bought it 5 years ago but nothing unfixable got it for $19,000ttd and the front ends silver

My Summer Car is okay. I've seen lots of people play through it. It is much more intense on the building aspects of a car, especially the engine. I don't want to see you struggle mightily with it, but I also don't want a complete expert play through. Just play it naturally as much as you can, and if you get stumped, then perhaps look for a guide. It is reasonable to assume that you can get a repair manual for an older car. I think Chilton's used to publish them. I had one for every car my family has owned from the 70's to the 90's.

For the My Summer Car Question. Yes, i would be interested! But i need to say that it would be good to install some mods before like a backpack =) And i would prefer a blind run with some assists. Like you can change the flag in your Garage with a Building Plan of the Satsuma. And if you get some problems you can still get a guide =)

Steve is actually more expensive on some things. The blower, for example, is 520 in town at the big performance shop next to the service center, and steve sells it for 607.50. Same with the turbo, 320 in town, 345 at steves.
