เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 23 พ.ย. 2011
Musings of an Untrained Brush is an arts TH-cam channel that provides introductory level videos for those who are interested in mixed media art. I use watercolour, colour pencils and oil pastels for my work. In the current initial phase, the channel focuses on basic exercises, such as drawing individual objects, practising techniques like line and wash watercolour. Please subscribe if you are an arts enthusiast. The best way to learn art is to share work and provide feedback on each other's art. The goal of this channel is to share my development as an arts hobbyist, and use your feedback to improve my work. Thank You!

Really cool, good shadows and lines. Thanks a lot.
Can you tell me about the sketchbook / paper you used for this piece please?
It's so satisfying to watch you draw. By the way, you have great music taste. Thanks for sharing
I absolutely love your work, thank you for sharing it with us ❤
Brilliant!!
Thanks very much for sharing your evaluations. One of the things missing from online are community is constructive criticism - it helps so much to see what to look for to improve our work. One thing you didn’t mention was composition, which maybe early the point of the video, but is still part of the paintings. I think your composition of the subjects within the postcards is lovely and part of what makes the paintings work.
Thank you so much for the kind comment. I really appreciate it. I totally agree, composition is key, and I always struggle looking for references with good composition to draw :)
nice work
All this time i thought crayon = oil pastel
In my view, there is a massive difference between the two. Soft oil pastels will allow you to create drawings that can look similar to oil paintings. They blend really easily :)
Don’t know how I got here but am so glad I did!
Thank you so much :)
Thank you. I love your art!
Thank you so much 😊😊😊
Great looking artworks from you , big thumbs up !

Stunning drawings. You see the beauty in the ordinary. Your pencil work is extraordinarily bright, presumably these are ink pencils. Wonderful channel.
Thank you so much 🙏🙏. I really appreciate your kind words.
Very inspiring artwork! What book/paper was this?
Thank you so much. This is a Sea white Brighton sketchbook. Really nice paper.
Wow! Love your sketches! Can I ask what kind of sketchbook you used? I keep running into paper that buckles, even expensive ones.
This is a Seawhite of Brighton sketchbook. These are not too expensive and can handle watercolour really well. I really like these sketchbooks and use them for oil pastel, colour pencil and watercolour work!
hot damn! this is a coffee table book! publish it!
The piece turned out lovely. You definitely achieved what you set out to do. Thanks for sharing.
@@palssingh1105 thank you so much ☺️
Nice ❤️❤️
I love how you left some of the paper shining through around the roses and on the vase. Contrasts nicely!
I'll definitely be coming back to this video for inspiration, your color choices make the simple drawings in my skill range appealing to look at. I've just started drawing and painting in my 30s and I'm glad i stumbled into your channel. 😊
Thank you very much. Same here, I have no training art and I am trying to learn drawing art for fun. You'll see I try many things in this channel, from line and wash to oil pastel. Still haven't been able to figure out a 'style'. Will try to get there one day :)
excellent ..! very nice. greetings from Canada..🤘
Thank you so much!

You make everything you draw stunning.. I really like it ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much for the kind words. I really appreciate it 🙂🙂🙂

Wowww , I’m inspired ❤❤ can you please explain to us why you use these particular colors in each time? I found it difficult to pick the proper color !😢 .. and can I apply these colors on different stuffs?
Thank you so much. I selected contrasting colours that are different from each other. I just wanted to draw freely in this video. But I think that a better approach would be to use complimentary colours that are opposite to each other on the colour wheel.
Music is annoying !!!!
Fantastic ❤❤❤
Thank you so much 😊😊😊
I have been musing for some time on how to create looser looking work with my pencils and then I found this video! It will be very helpful for me in changing my style, thank you!
This is at professional level... wow
Awesome! I'm inspired!!
@TheMysticalFruit wanted to tag you because you always encourage my artwork.
