I feel sorry for people that buy the new American Woke Made Garbage.
They are just junk.
Man i thought you was going to replace all of them but great vid 😢
I did replace all of them I didn't video the whole thing be too long nobody want to watch it
Great video man. I’m not a mechanic, but what I wouldn’t do without TH-cam. Thanks man
Pump your brakes before starting
I used it in my gas tank after I changed plug and wires 2 days later my injection not working and car stuck
I have a 2015 Malibu LS would my engine pretty much be 2.5 as well that takes 4 plugs?
@@Midwest374 if it's not a turbo then yes the one with the turbo is a 2.0
@@fooman0142 I don't think it's turbo
Yes it is a 2.5 l
How the hell do you check a transmission when a car is running hot ? Sounds stupid
Anyone know what to do with a P0700 error? Will flushing the trans fluid fix this?
@@jjamsdaddy I had a similar problem with mine I had a clogged shift solenoid I drained the fluid and put fresh fluid in it help for a little while but eventually I had to take it to the shop
What the hell are those engine mounts, ive never seen some shit like that
Most likely the fuel injector had deposit build up and didnt allow for the correct fuel to air ratio in the combustion chamber which was causing the rough idle. The lucas cleared up the build up and fixed the issue. Easy fix.
El foco emtra de cualquier forma o tiene positivo y negativo
Undo the top engine mounts and you can rock the engine forward a few inches to give you more room for the back three.
It's not that bad you can reach it without doing that
Uh oooh sound like a doer. Sound like I found my entry way for timing. Jeez thanks
@@fooman0142 really where? on the passenger side? What' dismantle the alternator to reach behind
@@anthonyjohnson2570 there's a bracket that bolts to the back of the plenum holds the map sensor and something else there's a couple nuts on there you can remove those two sensors and a bracket give you plenty of room to reach back there and do anything you got to do
For anyone who needs to put more fluid in, take the plastic battery cover off and you’ll see a clip or clips that the ECU (computer) slides into. Depress the clip retainers and pull the ECU up & off. You can set it to the side (not on top of the battery). That will give you more room to access the fill hole. Also, the official repair manual says that the engine should be running and the transmission should be between 185-203 degrees Fahrenheit when checking the fluid. Of course, you can choose to check it however you want. I’m just relaying info. Also, if your car needs to have either of its front drive axels replaced, the transmission will need to be refilled with fluid. The mechanic should know this but make sure you ask them about checking the fluid level after the car’s been driven for a while. The transmission fluid will normally drop because of the air bubbles introduced during the axel replacement. Always make sure your mechanic agrees to top it off after the air bubbles have worked their way out of the system.

If your garage floor is level and you check your car and its level. Isnt that good enough without jacking it up?
I don't see why not unfortunately I was out in the parking lot
You never gasp Iridium plugs, you will damage the tips.
I assume the rear brakes are performed the same way?
It's not exactly the same depressed in the caliper you also have to screw the centerpiece in while you're doing it there is a tool you can get for free at AutoZone O'Reilly's whatever they have the free tool loan here's a video that explains it pretty good
Okay I found a video that explains what you need it is. GM W Car rear caliper service procedure. Pressing in the caliper is a little bit different but everything else is the same
Worked great, but you don’t have to actually take the wire harness off. Just twist the bulb holder off and change the bulb
For people that are unaware. The car has to be idling while checking the fluid
Yes you can I've done it both ways did not make a big difference in transmission fluid level
Took my level plug out without it running and it all came out. About 4 quarts right away and more overnights. Couldn't believe the puddle on my garage floor the next morning. What a horrible design. GM should be ashamed of themselves!! 😆
I read because I didn't have it warmed up and running is why all the fluid leaked out. Seems strange but so is the design. Ha
If you took the plug out of the side of the transmission and that much fluid came out it was way over full
@@fooman0142 you think it was like 5 quarts over filled? It takes 5.3 right? I know there's some spare room in there because of the fluid areating, but double the space of what it takes?
Appreciate the help

Wow. This video was just amazing. Thank you Parking Lot Mechanic. It doesn't get much better than this.
About to attempt this on a 1993 Chevy Cavalier Z24. Thanks for the easy guide and knowledge
Thanks for making the video. We always think it’s an easy job to swap the plugs and it’s nice to preview the experience prior to jumping in.
What screwdriver are you using? (english not my native languag)
I was just using a small regular screwdriver to get the clip loose
Great video, thanks man
My toyotaco prissypoo 2.7l sure gets better mileage with lucas cleaner. Mine took 3 tanks. I park more than drive.
It's not just in your world it happens in my world, too. The brake pads never want to go on easy. 😂🛠🗜
The struggle is real lol
"Drove it around the block and it was running better". Seriously, Dude? That's not even enough time for the Lucas to make it through the fuel line and reach your engine.
Yes it is
Thank you, this was so helpful!
Thank you for helping out my channel
Also doesn't come with a spare smh
I know really wasn't happy about that
That's not the drain plug. It's under the car at the transmission. A 11mm plug
Nope it's the level plug. Did you actually watch and listen? And it too is an 11. So you got something right. 😆😆😆
Chevy maintenance bulletins list only checking level when engine is running and trans temp is between 190-210 degrees
Running not running temperature low high didn't matter I've done it both ways and it came up about two cups of transmission fluid difference which shouldn't hurt that transmission
Got yourself a new gas can - nice 👍🏻
There is a dipstick is on the other side of transmission by the other axle you idiot
What made you think to check the fluid level? Was it acting up or sluggish?
I noticed an oily substance down the side of the car started to inspect to find out where it was coming from transmission fluid driver's side input shaft seal is leaking
Thanks for this video! I was at my nearest Chevrolet dealership the other day and they said that my brake pads were "fair" and needed to be replaced, so they printed me out a list of all the things they wanted to charge me for to replace. Long story short, they wanted to charge me $500 to change my brake pads... Now I am quite young, only 22. But I know BS when I see it, most of that charge was for labor. I decided to just buy some front brake pads and watched this video and changed them out myself, I even went out and bought some Anti-Seize like you used and it worked like a charm. Just wanted to come back to this video and thank you for showing young people like me how to do easy maintenance on our vehicles and save money. Hope you're happy and healthy! Best Regards, Hagen
Thank you so much that's absolutely wonderful
Easy yes, but CAN be quite pricey
@@TheRunawaysforever it costed me < $40 to do it

You my guy my malibu has 145k miles on it and never changed the transmission oil due to the previous owner telling me that this car doesn’t require and that it will break instantly when i bought it from him at 90 miles but i have concerns like the first the shift are a tiny but slow and the engine is a bit loud what should i do
I would make sure the transmission fluid is full and then I would change the motor oil and see if that helps
You have to put that stuff when you get a car that is new like 10 k miles or 40 k after 70 k and you never put that your car is doom or lose power that will help it but the seal are damage
Never used before and had to try something different. It really worked. Smoothed idle no vibration from engine. I'm sold.
This is not for the driver side
It is the same on both sides you have to pull the neck off of the washer fluid reservoir to get to it

Chevy stupid transmission system
If you're getting over 7000 rpm you need Lucas.
Do you not half to bleed them?
No . if you use the C-clamp and do not remove the brake line you do not have to bleed them
Make sure you loosen the cap on the master cylinder
I did it like you showed it was real easy good video man
Thanks man. Now I'm doing my breaks tomorrow
