I ordered a tall red penta from a nursery in Fl. and will try my hand at cuttings of these. I have a friend online that send me some cuttings of the pink tall version "Nova" which she says the clusters are bigger than the reds. To grow these in mass might be best , but these are only annuals in colder regions. I grow a lot of annuals.

I have bought 4 of these and every one of them has shriveled up and died from the center out🥹🥹🥹 why???? I transpoanted from a nursery in god soil, moderate watering and a good liquid fertilizer… They have all turned brown from the center and wilted out completely

You're right about to start from cuttings I've been trying and no luck. I am trying the air layering it now. I'm crossing my fingers.

It needs time to mature to get that big. I bought four plants that only reached 18 inches high and the flowers were the tallest part. When it grew back the next spring it very quickly became bigger than the previous season and I didn’t recognize what it was at first because I thought it was an annual. I thought one of the cannas made it into the spot. I used Google Lense on it and it came up as the curcuma. Oh, ok.

I have one of these that came in an arrangement I bought on clearance at the end of last season. I had separated all the plants. This one kept getting taller no matter how much water/light I have it! Now I know why! Lol! Excellent video. I'll prolly keep mine short and bushy since it's an indoor plant. We get hard freezes here in winter.

Hi! Please help! I have a potted one that had 2 blooms and they are spent now. My mom passed and i bought it as a birthday gift for her first birthday i dont have her with me... theres no new shoots.
