Fire Alarm - Nasty Cabling, Wood Fixings & Bad Design!
มุมมอง 668 หลายเดือนก่อน
Join us as we inspect this fire alarm, gather the information we need to quote and then revisit the site to carry out the work. The site's report specified that all automatic detection was to be replaced. The fault on zone 2 was due to water ingress in the parking area which meant it was also replaced - we also added some water proof bases to try and prevent it happening again.
ANPR Barrier Control with Automatic Tracking

Check out this example of an ANPR controlling an automatic barrier, with additional PTZs for tracking people and vehicles on site. The cameras, software, columns and barrier are all installed by us. Does compliant access control mean the override key needs to be in a box accessible to fire crews? Because that's often the access control forced weakness.
@mrdiggie3321 no, it means it meets the fire and escape standards. The fire brigade are happy to force entry in an emergency
Can it be defeated with a strong magnet?
@@10100rsn an interesting idea
Carbine CEL 3in1 is cheaper and better :)
@williamslee9379 not better, this site has over 70 doors and over 500 users each with their own fob, so a record of each event is recorded, and access can be given and removed without the person present. This is definitely better.
Sorry but that lock is useless. Like others said a milk jug / piece of plastic can bypass this. it would at least need to block the upper part ( not sure what it's called) And it would probably be an easy fix potentially even with software. If it isn't unlocked with a rfid block the upper part with the motor thats used to open it
Thanks for your comment 😊
Americans discovering what Europeans have had for decades.
These guys are dorks ^¥
And you can pick the lock in a few seconds and open the door thanks to lock as a bypass.
Someone who can pick locks, could pick the lock, thank you for your observation 😂
You could open that in seconds with a bit of plastic from a milk container
The lock set was provided by the customer so no anti slipping unfortunately 😕
Oh goodie, a key override we can bump too. If you installed it properly, it does have an anti slip latch on it. I'm just going to use an under door tool though.
@@soggybiscotti8425 it doesn't, you can see it doesn't 😊 This is the only door to this room. It has to have an override to be compliant in the event of a complete and catastrophic failure.
To be honest that would open with a few good kicks.
@ballumsecurity ah my bad, small screen, looked like a slightly different colour on top. Oh well, fire doors aren't meant to be security doors anyway.
What guarding do you have at the top / bottom of the door to prevent over / under attacks?
None, but the door frame would have to be disassembled for an over attack and it's a fire door so 0 gap at the bottom.
If you wanted a particularly secure solution there's a doodaa that you can fit either inside the door at the bottom or if it's a steel cored door you can also fit it against the back of the door at the bottom, and when you close the door a steel blank comes down and fits into a channel that you cut into the floor, and then there's nothing coming under that door You can also use them to make a secure stable door style door for a home, and as a bonus the door actually feels solid instead of being a wobbly pile of crap
Even with zero gap it's a wood door. 10sec with a spade bit and drill and your in. The inner handle should be sphere shaped at least. Bit of metal on fishing line and a magnet in hand and you can loop over the handle from inside.
@Vashgout the inner and outer handle are the shape they are as they have to be to meet the fire and escape regulations.
@@ballumsecurity are the walls cement? Studs are 16" apart and drywall is paper.
I have now taken a screenshot of the key, enlarged it and have used photogrammetry software to 3d print a replica that i can use to make a copy at a self serve kiosk. Give me a few days to pin point your "secure location" based on the information gathered from the data shown in the background, i believe the bins in the alleyway should be a good tip off as well as the fact you're a small local compay with only 1 location in the UK should narrow things down significantly. Lol....just kidding, that's way to much work, just be careful what you post on the internet dude, this stuff isn't hard to figure out.
@rantional8180 Nice copy pasta, but thats a dimple key, good luck figuring out the depth of each dimple
mcnally get in there easy 😂😂
Nothing is McNally proof!
He's already in, you just didn't see him because he passed through so fast.
Seen bits of this on Google street view and wondered how it looks inside.
So fix it ffs. I can see why it's broken cause people messing with it constantly instead of doing something about it. 😂
It's amazing people look at something and think "oh they must have put that there for no reason".
Give this guy some energy drink.. mostly mumbling instead of talking.. 😂😂
Maybe it's because I'm English, but I had no trouble whatsoever understanding everything he said. We don't tend to speak very loud in Britain, but I had realised that til now.
Whu is responsible off it , might be too stupid ot or builder too smart doing a good job😊😮😮😮
If the alarms go off on your property, but it seems like a false alarm, check everything, and be Extra vigilant for the next few nights. Someone could be casing your place.
Thank's for your concern! But we ARE the security 😅
@@ballumsecurity Go equipped. 👍😋
Why is it connected by fibre? Thats a complete waste of tax money
You'll be pleased to hear that this is on private property and was not paid with tax money 😂
