Dutchman/Sizwheel combo Explanation
For educational purposes.
If you aren't an experienced sawyer, don't try this until you understand fiber pull and how to bend it.

Stihl 500i in Big Cedar.
มุมมอง 4.6K19 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Here's how I took down this big cedar. The box/block cut is useful in bigger wood, plus you get more fiber flex before the hinge breaks. #mitchzenobitrees #treework #treelife #trees #treecutting #timberfaller #logger #logging #lumberjack #arborist #stihl #chainsaw #ms500i #samsung #newpost #pnw #viral #reel #reels #video #shorts #educational
Boring out a Humboldt
มุมมอง 3.1Kหลายเดือนก่อน
This technique isn't that commonly used, but a few cutter still use it. By using the sights on the saw to help line up the bottom cut, start the bottom cut by using the bar tip just behind the kickback spot. If the rpm's are up on the saw saw, and you hold the position properly, there is little risk of a kickback. Then, once you meet the top cut, plunge it all the way through and cut downwards ...
LNS Ported Stihl MS400C

Put the LNS built 400c into some bigger wood to see how well it'd handle. Reasons For Shaving Off The Bark
มุมมอง 7482 หลายเดือนก่อน
Here is my description of why I personally shave the bark down. There have been times that I didn't, and I wish I would have because the wedging that ensued was a pain. Work smarter, not harder, no matter how much flack you get from someone. #mitchzenobitrees #treework #treelife #treeservice #treecutting #timberfaller #logger #logging #lumberjack #arborist #stihl #chainsaw #ms500i #samsung #new...

What a tree, so much beautiful lumber
Nice
👍 good highlight
Yrs sir!
That looks like it could be a useful technique, but it wasn't dumbed down enough for me to comprehend.
Set your playback speed to half and watch it aging with subtitles…
Hell ya
Horse piss.
master feller.
That was 'a thing of beauty' :)
Perfect from a fellow logger. Wished they all went that well lol. Great vid, keep them coming!
Nice work and even better camera work showing the movement while explaining. No easy feat eh!👍
Nice shot Mitch!
Pretty work!
Wow, very expert!
Love it. I was just trying to explain this to someone the other day and this is a flawless video demonstration. I wish it worked that well on this bore rotted ash 😂
Sizzwheel plus dutchman is magical and even though I use it all the time it never ceases to amaze me! Let me come cut with you some time! I will bring my drill wedges 😁
Great explanation, very clear. Thanks for the lesson.
Cool cut! Thanks for sharing and demonstrating! 👍
Awesome job, are you still running 325 chains ?
On my 28" bars yes, not on the 32". I have figured out the best raker height for the 32 yet. What cuts great on the 28 doesn't cut as fast on the 32.
@@mitchzenobitreesI’m playing with 3/8” LP on 24”. It’s kinda like baby semi skip?
Well done, Felling & filming. DOUG out
Excellent demonstration 🫡
STIHL MS 400C M 5,5,CP💪👌✌️👍👏💪💪💪💪
Guys worried about 2 hands on a saw are the ones who seen their papaw cut a tree once
Well done!
Great saw!!!
Measuring stumps is like measuring dicks. You start from the root and go to tip.
BACK TO THE STIHL LIGHT BAR A?
Mitch! Just picked up a ported 066, looking for a 25" light bar to go along with my 32", what is your fav outside the cannon? Can't afford and don't want to wait months for one to show up.
My favorite 3 light bars are the Stihl, Sugihara, and Tsumura. The sugi is the heavier of the three, but very durable. The stihl and Tsumura are even in weight, but the Tsumura has a bit tougher steel and doesn't need dressed as often.
Piece of electric junk 😅
In my opinion that's a deal breaker. Stihl bar all day long light and stiff for the weight
I don't like a super flexible bar either.
Not sure how the milwaukee performs overall, it may be great, but for top handles these comparisons dont mean shit when cutting pies on sticks. All that matters with top handles is how they cut limbs on the tree, and gas saws usually outperform battery when the tension/compression on limbs is wonky. That said ill usually go for a battery saw with stuff like mid/small cedars especially if in a bucket and i can take up batteries easily.
How safe are these in the pouring rain?
Love my self ported 572xp nothing fancy beer can gasket an moto seal with a transfer system that is just plain better exhaust roof at 100 gd animal torq and pulls with a 500i stock
I mean no disrespect but you had the wrong person port that stihl. It's should be much much faster than that.
Miluoky have 1/4 chain ??
I’m a Milwaukee guy, but I would never ever spend a penny on outdoor Milwaukee tools.
You don't know what you're missing. But to each their own.
The new dewalt flexvolt top handle is pretty dam impressive.
Haven't tried any of the Dewalt battery products.
@mitchzenobitrees the 60v flexvolt are unbeatable. It's a fairly new product to market but the reviews are starting to trickle out there. It's worth a look.
I got one to keep all my credit cards in...I may need another one. 😂
Been looking for a pouch for my bleed control stuff.
I was also thinking of putting my first aid & tourniquet in it.
Thats pretty neat. May have to pick one up..
Oh yeah
Nice work. You still running that narrow kerf?
Yes I am. It's my favorite 28" setup.
If you are not skilled with a saw do not attempt what this man is doing hes an expert
Husky killed it
I live in Sequim and I don’t know anybody out here who flies drones where do you fly and where do you go and how do we meet each other?
I don't get rime to fly that often anymore. I usually try to stay away from population and go up in the foothills.
Thank you for coming and streaming Mitch!
So… are you for it or against it?
I’m so tired of these idiot tree huggers. They are destroying our future. They took the damn off the Elwha river and now they’re trying to take the whole Elwha river valley. These idiots should all abandon their wooden houses and all the items they own that have came from the death of living things from our environment.
Agreed.
Wild stuff!
Looks like a new Milwaukee and the Stihl chain needs to be sharpened same reason why I won’t get an electric dirt bike fuel is quicker than a battery charge
