I do know that if you want to shift with the clutch super fast, if you don’t hate it, you can always map the clutch to a button on the wheel. I know that some drivers on iRacing do that because it’s faster. But this video has the auto clutch & auto blip assists on. This is because I mainly race on circuit, and haven’t played touge in a long time. So these 2 assists are on for some touge fun runs. I just happened to get a corner this good. But I will say, even with the assists off you can do exactly what I did in this video.

Yes, you are correct when it comes to the tyre being pulled part. BUT, that’s what slip angle looks like when it is visualized I believe. The racing technique I showed in this video is called slip angle. Slip angle is also known as “neutral steer” in case you know it in that term. They’re both the same thing. But if you still feel like I am wrong, then at the very least I’m glad you’re here my brotha 🤙

Agreed! Instant ecstasy right there! Personally, I find sending it and rotating mid-corner with the clutch in the first corner at NUR super satisfying. Achieving similar effect but a whole other style. I have a very reserved steering style plus I prefer cars with less power and lazier handling characteristics; basically, front engine ecoboxes or an old coupe. This technique makes it so that I can shove an overweight mercedes into tight turns quite confidently and with absolute control. And because of their factory tyre sizes, you just know the thing’s gonna screech at every corner sharper than r=100m 😂

I haven’t driven one IRL so I can’t be 1,000% certain. But I can say that I do believe that you can tune an MR-S for it to handle like this one. With the right mods and a stellar tuning job, yeah I bet you can get nearly 1:1 as this modded MR-S.

Here's a hot take, sim racers shouldn't aim for 1:1 real accuracy for the cars and their real life counterparts, but instead get p close and focus on making the drive fun. With that being said, who cares if it's unrealistic. The thing put a smile to my face and that's all

I did trail brake for the corner. Slip angle I believe is the fastest possible method through cornering. You use trail braking to start slip angle.

My bad man for responding so late. Just now saw this but you can ask people around and test it yourself to see if it works but it’s just the tightness of the car if that makes sense. So for example, if you look at the tuning for the Kunos Tuned RX-7 the FD with the wing, you’ll see like anti roll bars, suspension, dampering, making stuff stiffer, like the suspension stiffer and potentially the ARB’s stiffer can help with that. It’ll make the car want to be more responsive if that makes sense. I’m still learning tuning so sorry if that’s confusing but I know for a fact, you can play with the numbers and stiffen stuff and eventually the car will glide over the gutter and allow you to drive on the grass, and no guarantees that actually cuts time, if anything it most likely adds time because it’s a show off move, point of the title lol, but give it a shot and lmk brotha 🤙
