I was a 15 year old kid at the CDB concert in St Louis when the Freebird went down. It was very humbling when Charlie came on stage and announced it.

It’s a shame that most people remember Skynyd for this song. But a good tribute.

Charlie star and blackberry smoke do justice to Skynyrd treasured music. Blackberry Smoke gets it right, all good stuff. In My opinion they are one of best band out there today by leaps and bounds.

Was there at The Amp and Blackberry Smoke is the real deal. Once you’ve seen them live you will see them time and time again. Amazing group of musicians and if you get a chance to see them do it. Thanks for posting this video.
