These are extremely comfortable boots. True to size. The wedge sole makes all the difference on a rainy day. Clean with saddle soap. Follow with mink oil.

@@slpyOb sorry about that. Ended up going with Asus ROG B760i mini itx motherboard, i7 13700k intel, 16gb x2 corsair vengace DDR5 ram. Was able to reuse the corsair H100 water cooler from last build (since I forgot the new one 1 hr away 😅) but very happy to transfer it over. Oh, also reused the GTX GeForce 760, will see how long that lasts. Thanks for checking it out.
Be aware of intel CPU drama!
Yikes, please tell. I’ve been out of the loop for a while until I needed to do this build.
@@angelo-001 So basically Intel's 13th and 14th generation CPUs have instability issues. There are reported crashes, especially when running demanding games. Intel eventually confirmed that elevated operating voltage was the problem, so you can return your the chip under warranty but there are a lot of details to be aware of
@@NonNoname oh boy, I really appreciate that heads up. I wouldn’t have probably known where to start if it began crashing. What chip do you run?

I just bought a pair of 9435s last week at a Canadian Red Wing store... last pair. How are these 9435s breaking in/holding up? It would be cool to see a longterm update on these. Cheers
@@EdAb Great find, it’s hard to come across these in person in the US but that’s cool to hear they had them for you. The break in on these have been slower as they’ve been only worked into the rotation lately - having more occasions for them. I will say, the narrower 220 last feels great but does reveal the narrow-ness after several hours of wear at first. Adjusting the laces help the feet relax a little towards the end of a day. I love the gro-core outsoles that hold up in most weather conditions. I really do need to do an update on these! Please stay tuned. And I’d love to hear how yours are going after a while.
You should change out those carpets in the bedrooms.
@@justbrowsing5963 100% agree. Coincidence you mention, just scheduled cleaning on them today but only because 3 month move in starts in just 12 days but definitely on the next turnover I need to address those.
I prefer the Wolverine 1000 mile.
The 1000 mi’s have a lot to like about it. I like the more finish leather over the rougher charcoal on the RW.
Thanks. Got the same colour and saved me a hungover trip to the jewellers!!! From uk.😂
You’re welcome good sir! So happy to hear! Cheers, from the Midwest, US 😀
Is there a name to the tool
@@Mayhemsr1 honestly I’m not sure tue name of this one, but anything as thin and sturdy can work.
I wonder if you use same sizing? Or if the last difference is for going full size down?
For these 2 lasts, I do use the same sizing. Good luck!
Those are a thing of beauty. Congrats!
Thank you so much. Definitely are in my top 3 boots. Cheers!
I bought this watch last week on the same bracelet for $6,500 Canadian new/used box pappers. Cost another 400 for the leather strap with the Bund.
How are you liking it so far? My leather strap is breaking in nicely. Saving the gold strap for fancier occasions.
@angelo-001 just talked to my guy at Mason Birks today it's going to be another couple weeks before it gets in. I did however order a fake oysterflex that'll be in tomorrow which I'm excited about. I'm stoked to hear that you like your leather strap. How is your watch been for wear and tear? Scratches Etc
@@purelyfixedyyc4039 That’s exciting about the oyster flex! Did you get it yesterday? Initial thoughts? I really like the leather strap, it gives it the more ‘everyday’ wear feel. To mention the scratches, I noticed the gold and steel bracelet would scratch the back of the case. When I switched to the leather, it’s nice and soft, so I don’t have to worry about that which is great. There are minor, superficial scratches on the Steel case, but the gold seems to be holding up great. The crowns are in perfect condition, and I have used the chronograph function a lot. The crystal is in perfect condition, even though I have bumped it a few times. Overall, I cannot be happier with it!
@angelo-001 I haven't received the oyster flex yet, In fact I just got a refund from Amazon but it still says it was shipped. The leather strap direct from Tudor will be in soon. Can't wait! It's nice to hear that the gold pushers and Crown are holding up. I also use the chronograph lots to my girlfriend's annoyance, the click is addictive. So here's something about the S&G strap, the guy who sized it to me originally made it lopsided and the clasp was rubbing on one of the gold links that's not removable. So I eventually straightened out the links on the bracelet and now I have one link that's scratched and can't be replaced because of those stupid faux rivets. I do actually like the rivets though LOL. And yeah the dial on it is perfect it's just the S&G strap is too much. I'm a skinny white guy. It will look good with a tan, but until summer the black leather is more subdued. My Indian friend keeps telling me I bought it for him as the gold goes with his chocolaty complexion 🤣. All in all I'm happy with the newest edition to my watch box.
@@purelyfixedyyc4039 pressing the buttons is one of the most satisfying things I have found in this life. Sad? Maybe true? Absolutely. The sound, I see you can get annoying, but for the person pressing it, it is the upmost joy. Can I ask? How did you get the original leather strap tutor brand? Mine is aftermarket, but I really want that OEM strap. Thanks for the advice. Please keep me updated on your Watch collection! Edit: gold against the chocolatey skin, I was rolling lol. But, so true, it is hard to beat that combination.
I just bought these exact IR’s 😎. Great assessment too 👍.
Awesome! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Feel free to stop back and let me know how they are treating you 😎
Lovely watch, how are you finding it?
Hello! I am loving the watch. I’ve recently swapped out. The bracelet to a leather bracelet, has to not beat up the gold one as much. Love the rugged dress down style that it gives it as well.
@@angelo-001 really looking forward to hopefully picking one up for my birthday this year! 🤞🏼
@@Benllay good luck! I hope you get it 🙏
@Benllay hey, I love mine! I would most definitely be able to sell it to find a pepsi. Keep me in mind if you can't come across one.- full documents, links, & box / papers
They dontblook copper .I like the brown . You condition them ? Do you use water resistant spray on them
They did darken down after some time and conditioner. So, I do agree, they don't look copper anymore. But I am really liking the patina. I used neutral boot cream, to try and minimize the darkening. I also have used the Red Wing water resistant spray (non-silicone based).
Stunning patina.
Many thanks!
Do an update video on these please. Would love to see how they have patinated. I just ordered this pair on the GS sale. My 13th GS pair. Minerva leather is gorgeous and substantial.
13 pairs, nice! I can see why; been loving my GS so far. The leather soles have been amazing. Will do, there’s been some more patina since so it’s about time to get one going. Coming soon!
Sorry for the delay in the full video! Technology 😅
These are discontinued right?
Yes, unfortunately. Hoping for a come back tho.
Tomorrow March 5 2024 will be reintroduced. Already available in Europe.@@angelo-001
They’re back!
I bought mine in Oct. 2020. 👍👍👍
Man I wish I could find a pair of these. That's like an 8" Blacksmith and I love the silhouette. Very nice.
Thank you! These were a lucky find on eBay. They were posted for just a day or two. Some rare one for sure.
Man, I have a pair of those. I have a lot of pairs of boots. But I got those two years ago and since they've been my dedicated work boot. I love em but due to really hard wearing and over conditioning (for work, I am a site manager at a roofing company) the color is almost like Amber Harness at this point. I have a few pairs of Nick's and White's as well. But I'm thinking about buying another pair of the 3343s for the weekends. When you don't over condition them, the color is just amazing and your look perfect.
That’s awesome you get to rock these on a regular basis. Oh, I feel you on the over-conditioning. My 1st pair of 1907 Copper RT, I did the same thing. They are so conditioned they’re almost shiny. For these, I really concentrated on not changing the color this time. So for the conditioner I’ve been using the Natural Cream neatsfoot blend. It doesn’t change the color and gives them some hydration back. These are in my top 3 boots no doubt.
You have good taste. I also have a pair of 1907s lol. @@angelo-001
Those Grant Stone’s are fire 🔥 I have them in bourbon suede…Leo last fits like a glove
Nice! That’s a great look for these.
They look a little big.
How can you tell?
Could be the round toe style + low camera angle. But by feel, they are great.
Love how those boots look looks like they are darker shade of brown than when you first got them you used mink oil to get that?@@angelo-001
Look big
It’s not CXL. AE calls it their waterproof leather.
Thank you!
I think your sizing is off 😂. My Sheldon's fit slimmer than my Beckman's in the same size. You can see the difference. My Beckmans are definitely roomier in every way. I couldn't wear a Sheldon a half size down. Just my experience.
Luckily I can bounce between the two sizes comfortably. I understand most can’t however.
Hey, If I plan to wear them often - then I typically will not. But if I know a pair will be sitting around for a while, then I will. Hope this helps!
Thanks buddy, great point. I see that you also wore your boots in some nasty weather we got a couple days ago here in Milwaukee, how did your boots hold up with water spots on the the veg tan leather??? I don't usually like wearing my boots with that particular leather since some of them have permanently water spots on them...
I think I may have been walking in these in that same weather in Milwaukee the other day 😅 it was my first go with them in that little snow we had. I did notice some water spots on them afterwards, but with some brushing the spots came off… I did spray them with Red Wing leather protector a few weeks back, so I think that may have helped to prevent the water from soaking in too much. But, they still look great after trekking thru some side-walk covered snow.
Quick question... do you use shoe trees after you wear them???
What sneaker size are you and what size did you with for the boots?
In sneakers, I’m 8.5D. For these Ottawa’s I went with 7.5D and they are a great fit. I have a pair of 8D in the Brass Boot (same Leo last) and they are still a good fit with a thicker sock.
Be nice to see an update on these in a few moths time. They look fantastic, very striking. I heard it’s a very firm leather so how it softens and patinas would be great to see. I’ve been looking at these and the kangaroo Ottawa’s. Decisions decisions eh! enjoy.
Thank you for stopping by. I did a quick 1 min review just on on my shorts but I totally agree - a full 1 month review is in order now. About 175 hours of wear now - please keep an eye out soon. The Kangaroo Ottawa’s are amazing too - such a unique look.
I like them, how much did you pay? I have the 9436
I was lucky and got them for $200 on eBay.
I own a still almost new pair of 9435s in Teak. They are a great looking pair of boots. I'll keep an eye out for how they hold up for you.
I just can’t get enough of this leather. Initial fitting felt like a dream. I’ll be sure to post updates as they age along. Thanks so stopping by!
I have this exact pair. Absolutely love them!
Great to hear! I’ve been itching to break them in. Thanks for stopping by!
Nice boots collection brother !! What’s your Ig ?
Thank you so much! I actually don’t have an IG for my boots… maybe I should tho. Great idea!
Love any boots with veg tan leather..
I really like the smell they give off too.
New boots, Sisters pants. Nice.
😂
Do they make these in Men’s sizes or just children’s?
😂
I have this boot and they are aging very well. This will be a great candidate for the thunderdome,
Great to hear! I went with these for the Thunderdome. On day 10, about 100 hours of wear. Starting to see some changes already, been exciting. Thanks for stopping by!
I have the Ottawa in the Dune color, love the boot but it was to tight had it stretched a few times to fit right kinda costly. I found this out by buying the Chelsea boot in a E size. Chelsea is a nice made boot but to me seems to be a little stubby. Cheers...
Great leather choice, I really like how Dune ages. I haven’t explored their Chelsea boots yet but certainly intend to. The E width is a good point. I find the Leo last from Grant Stone fits my foot well in D width, but their Chelsea last is different so the E choice could come in handy. Thanks for stopping by.
I'm looking at another Ottawa I will order the E width because of the the high arch I have. I should have sent back for the E, live and learn. Cheers...@@angelo-001
These boots are so so good looking. Would love to buy their navy suede makeup some day. Good luck in the thunderdome!
Thank you, sir! Those navy suedes would be fantastic as well. Super sharp. Thanks for stopping by 🙏
I think the navy suedes are put on sale because they've been discontinued. If you want some, you may need to get them soon!
They were a FB find - $90
Option 4. Don’t give in and pay to play. Participation numbers will be interesting this year.
According to the app, 617 pairs of boots registered so far
$50 to participate in a contest. Think about that fora moment.
I’ll add this and then move on, but I will be surprised if they have this next year and I won’t be surprised if they get significant pushback about it this year. Would these people spend $50 plus buy a new pair of boots ($100-$1000) just to enter a raffle to win a pair of boots? And in a raffle there is randomness of who wins, how do you know this isn’t fixed? A Nicks employee won it last year. This is how you take a nice grass roots idea and then ruin it.
You make very good points. There does seem to be subjectivity to who wins, paging through all of the winners from last year it seems a lot of them could have been picked/considered for the top winner. I too hope peon boot enthusiasts take home the top prizes. It would certainly take any conflict of interest questions out. This is my first year participating, I make no promises for the future lol. The one year subscription to the boot community was a selling point for me, can nerd out for a while with others. But, I completely see all of your points, and why the competition is not for everyone. I appreciate your input!
