This is one I know I caught episodes of here and there. Usually on the way to a cartoon that was more high priority. I was three...my attention span only went so far.

Great dive into one of my favorite shows! Very informative on the rise & unfortunate fall of D&D due to a lot of ignorance & scapegoating.

I remember watching Dungeons & Dragons on fox kids when I was in high school it's brilliant and it's should never been canceled in the first place. 😀👍

Certainly a favorite of mine during the era; I especially liked this was a series were kids were not seen as sidekicks or mascots.

Before i saw some episodes of that animated 1980's series, i used to play some computer games of ADVANCED DUNGEONS & DRAGONS - mostly EYE OF THE BEHOLDER - on my Amiga 500 back in the 1990's and 2000's. Also, i admit, that the animated series gave me the inspirations to practice for drawing my own art works 🖋️🖊️✏️🖍️. Thanks for sharing this retrospective role-playing video 😺👍. R.I.P., Gary Gygax 🙏👍. Just off the top of my head (and apologies I've not posted in a long long time, after doing so regularly) Ulysses 31 (great build up with monologue, then surely some kind of proto-Daft Punk) Rhubarb and Custard (craziest guitar in any cartoon intro) Transformers (very musically strange, when you listen to it) Either Henry's Cat theme (because they sound like library music made by a small yellow cat - both of them) That's enough for now

A bad 80s cartoon would probably be one that lacks in personality/charisma, has exceptionally bad animation, screechy sounds and music, terrible voice acting, terrible writing, and is especially 110% only in existence to sell the children a product for $9.95 plus tax (+plus shipping and handling, some assembly required, batteries not included). Not to mention a god-awful PSA that has nothing to do with the episode but only exists to keep those people in the FCC happy. Basically The Reagan Era on Crack (LMAO)! Quite the majority had these problems for the most part, but not as hard as I make them sound. The personality and charisma save them each time. If you're a hardcore fan of 80s cartoons, then most all these should be at least satisfactory.

Yes, applied math would have been a better term as abstract refers more towards coming up with the theories and postulates in geometry than the actual use of them. And thanks for the nod. lol Also, maybe he is like Roadblock and is so crazy strong that he can carry everything that would normally take 3 people *and* can use the launcher as a direct-fire weapon. lol

A Pup Named Scooby-Doo just being mentioned brought me back as soon as I heard the theme song play

I absolutely love the 80s and 90s cartoons! I'm a big fan of that era. I was born in 1994, so I have a soft spot for those shows. Have you considered reviewing animated series from the 2000s and 2010s, or even going back to the 70s? There are so many great cartoons from different decades!

I didn't see Pup named Scooby Doo as #1. Was I singing along, yeap.

Kidd Video, catchy theme song, very strange show even for the 80's.

I prefer the animated movie's version of Transformers theme song.

My favorite is Jem & The Holograms. I do agree with you on Season 2 of The Transformers. I also want to mention Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers (shout out to the end theme Rangers Are Forever), Silverhawks, and MASK.

To be honest, I'm surprised that Inspector Gadget, Duck Tales, Pole Position, Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers, or Defenders of the Earth didn't make your list. I might have to add some British shows on there, like Danger Mouse, Bertha, The Trap Door, Postman Pat, and Count Duckula into the mix, but I am a sucker for those that have some intro as part of its opening sequence.

Thank you for the vid, we didn't get Camp Candy, I'll look it up. I would have added somewhere the intro for MASK and Ghostbusters (the filmation version). I agree with the songs :D but I would not have guessed the #1.

Duckula’s theme is good pick to make if you like spooky comedic theme in a similar vein to Beetlejuice.

Fun video, I definitely was shocked to see MASK not on here, a lot of us probably have it at the top. Jayce and DuckTales are also up there for me. Alvin tends to be underrated, it's a pretty fun rock theme. And Danger Mouse might be a dark horse for me.

New subscriber here. I definitely think it would be interesting if you were to focus on your study and analysis of each series before moving on to the next year ('82 in this case). The theme of your channel - understanding Joe from a real world perspective - is brilliant. Keep up the good work!

If this was my list, I would have wormed 'DuckTales', 'Alvin & the Chipmunks', 'Ninja Turtles', 'Chip N Dale RR', 'Heathcliff', and even *'Jem!"* onto the list, with honorable mentions to the credits music for 'He-Man' and 'She-Ra'. ...So many good ones, though. A solid list, NTL.

My favorite 80's cartoon theme songs are M.A.S.K., Thundercats, Robotech, G.I.JOE., Dinosaucers, Spider-man and His Amazing Friends, and more. 😀👍
