I saw Guns N’ Roses, and 98 in Knoxville. He did the same thing. He stopped the show and told the audience that we were a bunch of enthusiastic fucks. The intermission lasted almost 2 hours. Fuck you Axl Rose first and last time I saw you.

In the old days "front row"' meant you were shaking hands with Slash. Where you are would have been maybe 10th row.

Axl is lucky to be alive. a light shining into your eyes as a front man is unacceptable. there was no way he could have got thru this song unless he addressed this by stopping the song politely. so rock n roll. so grandpa. just play during the day then. only thing worse than a light in your eye is getting hit with a thrown microphone from a 100 meters away.

Ik Axl paused the show but this was a valid reason as it could have damaged his retinas. And overall he was pretty polite about it.

I was on the pit on the other side and had noticed that they weren’t running the spots as the sun went down, makes sense now as they weren’t happy with the one on the stage right side. Axl had spoken into his mic quite a bit before this, presumably to get it sorted. Great vid! And what a great show!
