Navagio Beach, Smugglers Cove or shipwreck Beach - perfect day trip while on Zante
มุมมอง 4263 หลายเดือนก่อน
Navagio Beach, or Shipwreck Beach, is an exposed cove, sometimes referred to as "Smugglers Cove", on the coast of Zakynthos or Zante as you hear it in the UK. We took the bus tour from North East coast over to the West coast and set sail from Porto Vromi. Amazing day

Grey Mare's Tail and Loch Skeen.
มุมมอง 2185 หลายเดือนก่อน
The Grey Mare's Tail is a brilliant waterfalls, only 60 mins from Edinburgh and close to border. It has an amazing 60m cascade in the Moffat hills. This walk climbs past the falls and continues up to beautiful Loch Skeen. We left too late so missed the hills and Corbett White Coombe today. 2 hours and about 4 miles.

A brilliant mountain. Two peaks. 8 miles and 5:30 including lunch with our friends from Potsdam Germany. This was hill 100 and Everly’s favourite. Amazing views and one boulder field before too that needs attention. Amazing day.

Hope you had a great birthday Lorna. All the best from me and Lily loves Munros.
Happy Birthday Lorna 🎉🎉🎂🎂
Thanks so much
Looks like such an epic walk. What a gem!
Wow. Well done kids. Glad you enjoyed your walk. Hot chocolate time. 😊
Thank you 🤗
Well done youngsters, I hope you enjoyed your walk. It's a fantastic place to be isn't it? In winter, just sometimes that Waterfall freezes, I had the privilege to climb it in the Winter of 83. Maybe one day you ll progress in mountaineering and be able to do the same. Good luck and nice video..!
That’s fantastic it’s a walk we will do time and time again. We fancy doing the Anochs from Glen Nevis in late May to make three Marvin a row for this part of the world
@@Kidsoncrags That's a great walk. I did them one October day some years ago, going up roughly from the ruin you looked at. It was frosty where the sun hadn't reached but beautiful in the sunshine, and there was the most amazing temperature inversion I've ever seen, with cloud looking like a glacier coming down Loch Lochy, as well as into the glens north of the Mallaig road and over Strathspey. The Glen Affric hills were visible above it. Lochaber and Skye were in glorious sunshine, but there was another inversion in the south, reaching to Rannoch Moor. Ben Cruachan was sticking up above it. The inversions lasted at least into mid-afternoon but had burnt off my the time I was driving home to Inverness in the last of the daylight.
Good to see you back!
Thanks 😊
Superb, that is a long long walk you must be proud of yourselves to have completed this.
Yeah the boys are amazing. It’s been hard as Illness and weather have kept us off hills of late. Hoping to get back soon
Excellent video you guys made it look so easy you are all real mountaineers.
Have been up there as well. Nice place
It sure is
Love your videos, guys! Great to see you introduce your wains to hill walking so early in life. More power to your elbows -- _and_ your knees!
❤️❤️❤️
@@Kidsoncrags 👍I climbed many of the mountains you are now doing, so this is memory lane for me!
Your kids never cease to amaze me. This must surely have been their toughest challenge yet. I’ve done this round many many times over the years and in many variations. It’s always taken me a good nine hours. Well done and keep em Coming.
Thanks so much. It was a close second to Ben More and Conival in Assynt. We are so blessed to have places like this to visit. Thanks so much for kind words ❤️
Well I never what a day 🤗 a huge biggest congratulations to the boys especially for completing three Munro’s what a long day, well done mum and dad too for having such lovely boys . Thank you for sharing 😊. We have only done the first one, will have to get a move on now 🥾🤣
@janicemiddlemass5215 thanks , defo a round for a nice day
Well done boys!
Congratulations on 50 munro’s 👏 amazing 🤗 weather has been rubbish lately. Clashmore this week very windy didn’t get the high walks but lovely place ,🤗🏴
How amazing ! Are you back home?
@@Kidsoncrags not yet Sandwood bay today beautiful, lovely walks along the coast to Clashmore and lighthouse 🤗flossies for rolls 🤣
@janicemiddlemass5215 that’s so amazing. ❤️
Great vid but why didn't you use the bridge?
looked on map I see it was a railway bridge.
👍👍The bridge at the railway? Or further back? The one at railway wasn’t accessible or so i thought 😳
Well done, i can see a full munro completion in the future 👏👍
For the kids I hope so 🤞 for the adults - the vertigo means our goal is closer to 200 👍
Very nice video. Thanks for sharing. 👍3
Grey Mare's Tail and Loch Skeen look absolutely stunning! Hard to believe it's only an hour from Edinburgh. Even without making it to White Coombe, this hike seems like a perfect day out. Thanks for sharing 😍
It really is! Totally agree and thanks 🙏
Clearly all climbers, experienced and otherwise, are going to respect a video that addresses something so fundamental to climbing: overcoming challenge, your own good judgement, and of course enjoying such a characterful ridge and with so many great views. JMO.
What a thoughtful comment
Such a beautiful hike trip, beautiful nature areas, cool shots. The scenery here is so majestic, my good friend. I hope you always have great footage to serve your fans. Keep it up and stay connected. 👍👍
Thanks buddy
Pretty cleaver raising the children with the aid of the hills. All very well done. 👏
It’s brilliant as they speak to you more than any other occasion about important things. 👍
That is a lovely walk, you must try and come back to do the Corbett’s, its a bit tricky to cross the water if there’s been a lot of rain, well done boys up to the top in no time .👏🎉
Next time! 👍
I backed off near to summit as it was wet and slippy. That was my excuse anyway. 😂 Seeing the kids just doing it like it is a walk in the park, I can only sat Hats off to you guys……
Without doubt a nasty snare! Nice video
My wife thought so but it had a long post like section also. Amazing walk
Great video, thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching! 👍
Stunning thank you 👍
Thanks so much 👍
Fantastic views! I must go up there again so I can see it. I climbed it several years ago with two younger friends because the weather forecast was best in the north-west - but the weather wasn't! The hill was covered it clag, and after we'd had our lunch on the summit, my friends ran off in the wrong direction and I had to lead them over a snow-covered boulderfield for half an hour to get back on course. It was good when we eventually got down out of the cloud, and they learned a lesson.
Another brilliant walk ,hope the wee soldiers legs are ok ,so brave . This will be one on the tick list in September 🥾. Thank you again enjoy the rest of you holidays 🤗
Excellent video . . . there's nothing like being on the mountains with our kids! I first climbed Canisp in 1966, again in 1979, with my daughter in 2022 and, in the worst conditions I can remember on a climb, October last year. Lovely underrated mountain with fantastic views.
That’s amazing history on the mountain. Agree so underrated and amazing to get it mainly to yourself when you go 👍
Aww how lovely ❤i can see how much this area means to you , congratulations 18 years ago ❤
Brilliant 🤗 you’ve just sold us a holiday up there, booked a cottage for early September, looking forward to exploring the area 😊
This is so lovely to read . It’s our spiritual home up here. It’s our 18th year. We got engaged here. We just love it 😊
Just superb! Long time since I visited the Highlands, and I'd put this island right on my to-do list for next time. I'd bet it's pretty grim though when the weather gets going up there...
It’s some place. We’ve enjoyed it in May, June, July, August, October and January- can we wild at times.
That’s an Amazing view of Suilven - 🤩 where did you walk from to get there?
You head out from Lochinver past Inchnadamph and there is a parking area on right on side. Straight up to Canisp 👍
Aww well done 🤗 what a lovely walk, hopefully will try and follow your footsteps later in the year, fingers crossed for the same weather. Keep the videos coming they are a joy to watch 🎉
Aww beautiful, thank you for bringing back memories 🤗, I seem to remember getting a soaking on the boat crossing 🙈🤣,great day out 😊
Amazing place isn’t it, we’ve been up since Saturday and have another 10 days left
Great informative video, thanks for the details on parking/route to take etc. 😊
Thanks so much 👍
Took our 8 year old up those two today based on this. Well done and keep up the great content.
Amazing. 👏 How did they do? Did you come off the steep side?
@@Kidsoncrags Yeah, took the best part of an hour as the rain came in. Everyone coped! 🤣🤣
Love it. Was it as steep as we thought it was? Thanks for message 👍
Lol…yes. You’re stuck between a rocky side and a hard descent though. Don’t know if we fancied coming back down the rocky side again to go down the bealach way! 🤣🤣
Another brilliant video, well done boy’s and mum & dad too , looks a good walk for a couple in their later years that love the hills. Thank you 😊🌟
Thanks so much from the team x
Love the video ! Was great seeing you on the mountain, and that rocky steep descent was rough 😂
Amazing, Finlay should have ran them with you lol. Did you come off the steep side?
Fabulous wee video👏👏👏
Thank you ☺️
Another great video 🤗 well done getting to the top through all the bog 🌟 thank you for sharing again👍
Glad you enjoyed it. It’s great to get some comments and let the boys see them
@@Kidsoncrags your boys deserve all the encouragement they can get, they do so well 🤗
Well done. I'm glad I climbed it from the other side at Derrydaroch farm now I've seen that bog 😂 Amazing views at the top 👍
This sounds strange but we eventually enjoyed the bog. It wasn’t cold so we laughed most of way down. Boots need jet washed lol
Great vid, I'm the other fella who met you guys on the way down. Both tops were too windy to hang around so lunch was delayed until the bottom. lol. Good luck on your next adventure 👍
It was a pleasure to chat with you. What the next hill you have planned?
@Kidsoncrags got a few planned, Possibly the 4 around Tyndrum, possibly split into 2 trips though. What's next for you guys?
@andyhill580 Beinn a Ghlo perhaps or Dorian.
@Kidsoncrags Beinn a Ghlo on my list for this year.. . Did Beinn Dorain in September tho... amazing views, you'll love it 👍
Me and my friends at 4:25! We were enjoying our lunch break.😆 Kids are amazing climbers!🥳
Brilliant - what a day we enjoyed. Just perfect 😍
Nice to meet you all, im the fella who turned back with you the wind was far to strong on the top, good call always another day, good luck in the hills for the future
It was a pleasure meeting you and thanks for the advice. Also it was brilliant seeing you get down faster than the ski lift 👍
Well done guys, great work, take care
Thanks 👍 it was amazing fun

Great video. Thanks for sharing. 👍8
Thanks 👍
That was a great video. Brought back happy memories for me on my Munro compleation. Happy birthday on Friday Everly. Love Linda & Brora. 🐶
Thanks so much Linda. We wouldn’t have been up there today if we hadn’t watched your final Munro round summit and got the advice about CMD. We appreciate it. The boys are all saying hello 👋 ❤️
