Having owned both, the softail has a cooler running motor, and slightly more power. The softail version sucks as a 2-up across the entire line, including the Heritage, which was disappointing. In the end, I kept the Dyna and got rid of the softail. Handling was just too much better, and the ride was too much more comfortable on the Dyna to justify having a softail.

My 03' fxdx had same black handlebars. Also black lightning star custom wheels, but I'm having trouble with custom wheels holding correct tire pressure! I bought a race fairing, like your to replace detachable windshield! Now that Harley is in question, I'm holding on too mine! Have you done the 88' twin cam timing chain tensioner problem! I'm putting in hydraulic tensioner pads! Nice bike!

Sharp bike. Nice upgrades. Great platform for a few more choice mods. It is both with quick detach fairing & bags a bar hopper or as he said a smooth solo tour bike. Check out Gustafson dark tint windshield with vents & lowers for when touring
