How to Build your own DIY Jack Stands
มุมมอง 4Kหลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I build some DIY jack stands from Built Tools (link below). In the plans there are 4 or 5 different sizes, the ones in this video are the second largest and they are are about 12 inches tall. I used 1/4 hot rolled pickled and oiled A36 steel from Send Cut Send. The parts are all laser cut and fit together like a puzzle. If you decide to make your own, I highly recommend using Send...
How to Clean Plasma CNC Table
มุมมอง 1002 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I go through my process of cleaning the water bed of my Shop Sabre CNC Plasma table. First vacuuming the water and sludge, then clean the bed itself, grinding the slats, then re-filling the tank with Sterling Cool Plasma Defense.
Cerakote First Use
มุมมอง 1083 หลายเดือนก่อน
When I was at SEMA 2023 I came across the Cerakote booth. Cerakote is a sprayable ceramic coating. After talking with the Cerakote reps, I started noticing it on what seemed like every car! So I had to try it!
How to bend a flange with a bead roller
มุมมอง 2.2K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I am building filler panels for the rear trunk panel on the 57 chevy build. I will be using the beadroller, shirnker/stretcher, hammer and dollies. The tricky part about these parts are bending the flanges around the corners.
English Wheel Custom Panels
มุมมอง 3064 หลายเดือนก่อน
The English Wheel take time and patience but can produce very nice custom panels. In this video , I am making a custom radiator cover, but these techniques can be used an any panel that you need to make. I use the english wheel with and without the rubber band, pipe anvil, press brake, small press with dimple dies, tig welding, and the shrinker stretcher. This panel may look simple but has its ...
How to get Perfect Fitment for that Perfect Weld and Finish
มุมมอง 1.7K5 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I go through my process of how I get that perfect fitment between my panels before welding, and then how I planish out the weld to remove distortion and finally finish it off leaving a seamless seam. It takes more time to achieve these seamless weld seams but they are saving so much time down the road in body work. Being able to ensure proper fitment before welding is key to minim...
How to Remove Distortion in Sheet Metal after Welding
มุมมอง 1.3K5 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I am working on a custom inner fender that I had to extend. Therefore I had to weld a piece on and as with any welding there is shrinkage and distortion. I go through removing this distortion and blending the weld to where it is a seamless repair. This can be used for any repair as long as you can get to the back side of your panel. I only use a hammer and a dolly.

Wow
What would you call the piece you made to cover the radiator and fans? We are building a 210 Wagon and really like the way that piece looks. Are you making those to sell or do they have to be made custom for each car?
I’d call it a radiator cover . And they are made to each car
Send cut send sounds like a convenient way of getting parts cut to high precision. Junkyard Dave mentions them a lot. I think they are only in the US and not here in Australia.
They are very convenient! Not sure about only in the US, they may ship globally, just have to try it out. Thanks for watching!
I could see at the start of the video that you had TIG welded the first stand. TIG welding is something I have never done myself, as I've only done MIG, stick and oxy welding.
Yep, I tig welded all of them, that is mainly what I do these days. I’ve done stick, oxy/accetylene and MiG but prefer Tig over all the others now. I still MiG once in awhile, but not near as much as Tig. Once I learned how to Tig it has quickly become My favorite!
That thing is gnarly!
It is! But I keep burning up belts so I still need to figure out how to get the right adjustment
What Shrinker/stretcher is that? Idk if you have done one yet but a shop tour would be awesome!
It is the Kaka industrial from Amazon. Wasn’t cheap but it is the cheapest deep throat version that I’ve found.
Just found the channel, sweet project! Been wanting to try SCS and hadn’t thought about buying some files already made!
This was my first time using SCS because I have a plasma table but SCS was fast and super affordable
That’s going to be one awesome 57 Chevy. I’m glad I found your channel I love quality builds. Keep up the great work and videos. 😊
Thank you! Please share! I plan to do a overview video of the build soon
I dig it! What do you think they cost in total? I've never got anything from send cut send.
I think I have around $300 into them plus my time cleaning and welding them up.
You can use the Xbox controller, just needs to be programmed to the computer using a mapping software where it converts the controller to the keyboard
Really? What mapping software do I need to search for?
@@HalfacreFabrications Unfortunately I do not have a recommended specific mapping software as we do not often do this ourselves but we have had several customers tackle this with success. It may be worth posting the topic in the user group.
@@shopsabre ok thank uou
Awesome bro, thank you so much.
Happy to help
Could you explain to me how you got that to work on your shop Sabre? I’m struggling with mine to get it to run. Thank you.
Brad did you figure out how to get your easy scribe working?
@@HalfacreFabrications I have not I would love a video to learn how to do it. It’s very frustrating. Thank you in advance
Ok Brad, I will make a video on it this week. Once you figure it out is fairly simple.
@@jessehalfacre6543 thanks bud.
Brad the video is uploading now. Should be finished in about an hour and a half to two hours
Nice job. Consider rare earth magnets if you decide to go the magnet route. They are available if different strengths and Im certain you can find one to securely hold that panel.
I ended up putting a couple holes at the top for a couple small screws
Very good video but I too found the music to be a distraction and annoying. Good job overall.
Thank you for the feedback. I have gone back to using music only during the time lapses. Saves me a lot of time during editing too😁
I enjoyed your video but found the constant music to be annoying.
Thank you. I’ve been going back and forth with it.
Put both heel dolly and the part in your vise and then shrink it down over the dolly. I made 61 chev tail light surrounds this way with pipe and a vise. Love the idea of the access hatch with electric bits. Nice !
That’s a good idea! Thanks!
Cheers man im 21 and just got my first gassless mig welder. I will be doing my clutch pedal bracket very soon can't wait to own a welder
Welding is a blast! I highly recommend Everlast welders. There are way cheaper than miller and in my opinion it is just as good and I get better results
Backstops will get you every time.. lol that’s a lot of work, good thing you get paid by the hour. Lol
Yep!
Did you pre-fit the hood with the fenders adjusted before you made the radiator cover?
No, but I am going to do that before I do my final cuts and welding
NICE THANKS FOR POSTING I GOT TO WORK ON THIS THE BOTTOM IS EVEN NICER Joe from NOSTALGIA 😎👍❤️🤍💙🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸
Killer work!!!! Like I said this was my favorite car of the show! One of my favorite of all time! Can’t wait to see your teams work this year!!!!

Did you swing the A arms full stroke to ensure they won’t interfere with the inner aprons?
Yes and turned wheels stop to stop to ensure clearance through the entire turning radius as well
I like how your hammer and dolly with ear protection on your head but off your ear lol
Hahaha I listen to music with the headphones but also need to hear the sound that the hammer and dolly are making so I can ensure that I am hitting in the exact right spot. Hammer on Dolly.
Found your channel today love what your doing with the 57 hope to see more of it. Cool idea for the air tool hanger on the shop wall too.
Thank you! I plan to keep it up and post the build as much as possible!
Посмотрел ваши ролики … Молодцы ребята .

Looking at buying a shop saber table soon. How well the does scribe function work? I would be using for plate mark up before cutting i.e. part numbers and bend lines. Thanks
I’m not a huge fan of the air powered scribe tool that they sell with their machines. But there is a guy who does amazing work with it, I just don’t want to pay for the software he uses for it. I do however really like the hypertherm easy scribe. Works great and for what you’ll be doing it’s perfect for that. Look up Adam Deuling from Deuling Design. He does part numbers and stuff with his easy scribe and can get really small detail! He’s a master at it.
@@HalfacreFabrications Thank you!

Yep I try to catch as much as I can! Excited for three weekends in a row!!!
What he's doing doesn't make sense
When you weld the metal shrinks and distorts. To remove that distortion, you need to stretch out the weld. By stretching out the weld you remove the distortion. In this video I am only using a hammer and dolly.

Is it also electric powered?
I believe not. It got a clutch padel and an exhaust. I would like to see how to change the wheels, it looks like a challenge.
no definitely not electric. It does have a lot of electrical options though.
