I hope the assessment process isn't too stressful for you. After your final appointment be sure to take some time for your mental health, what ever the outcome. I, personally, found the diagnosis quite difficult to come to terms with at first. Yeah, that is exactly how I have been managing my ADHD - by understanding that my brain works differently from a neurotypical brain, therefore, I just need to find a different approach when undertaking tasks. Thank you, that is very kind of you to say. I'm glad you have been able to see that you are not alone through my videos.

@@lydiaravenhall I have had first screening and they wan to do a second one that was a year and a half ago am still waiting ... have spoke to them am still on list just a backlog .. in the meantime i have been diagnosed with bipolar type 1 they have said i could have both but i think adhd and bipolor can show similar traits i was very upset when i was diagnosed and i got so bad i had to give up my job as i would would every day long shifts for a couple of weeks whilst manic then not go in for weeks when i was down i just couldt do anything consitantly i felt like i had nothing left when i stopped working i had been at my job for 8 years and was a senior hca working at a mental health hospital .. things are getting better onwards and upwards we got this girl 👍

When I worked in a charity shop, they didn't have the capacity to clean the clothes that were donated, they only had a steamer to remove the creases, and they couldn't put out unclean clothes. So I really know the importance of making sure they are clean first. I'm glad to hear that you also clean them beforehand! Yeah, I found that my mental health is much better in a clean and uncluttered environment. So it's a win-win for everyone.

(& I hope you rewarded yourself somehow, because that was a HUGE job & you were probably pretty tired afterwards!)

Yeah, and it is such an important step as, in my experience when I volunteered in a charity shop, they couldn't clean the clothes. So they couldn't sell any unclean clothes to customers. I hope my donations are able to help lots of people, especially people who have to rely on donations.
