Road trip to Bell Island Newfoundland

We took a little road trip to Bell Island, Newfoundland. Not the most scenic trip we’ve been on but still beautiful. Tara Met up with her old neighbour from Cambridge Ontario, who she hadn’t seen in 25 years. The invited us to stay the night and we had a great time catching up. Happy Thanksgiving Day Canada 🇨🇦🍁🍂 2024 Follower your Canada 🇨🇦
I have done only 1/2 of the loop myself and I loved it. I am so glad i came across your channel,I look forward to going through all of your posts and of course to view the new ones. Thank you!
@@josephmythen3844 thank you. I only documented about 1/4 of the loop on TH-cam. Turned into a “job”. Hope to get back at it now that we have finished
Hi new to the channel, love the scenery up there. Thanks for sharing
Great video! I wish I could be there.
No wildlife was harmed in the filming of this video. Other than the one you ate....
Opps !!! Yes true we ate that one and was tasty
What was the brand of the microwave? And where did you get it? We're preparing our boat for the loop and would love one of those
It is called a Breville 3 in 1. Purchased at Best Buy. It works great. Microwave, oven and air fryer
No trip to Pensacola is complete if you don't stop at Joe Patti's.
Sara and I loved your video. I need to find your card! I hope you’re somewhere safe and warm. Best wishes Jerry
What a struggle getting on the swim platform. Watching wore me out. So bad, I've taken 2 Tylenol and I'm plugging in the heating pad now.
Oh come on. Lol wasn’t easy.
Thanks for sharing your journey.
nice start and look forward to the rest of the trip. Enjoy
Love the details of youre videos. Were planning on doing the North Channel next summer and planning to anchor out a lot. I was wondering how is the bug situation at night? Do you need a full enclosure with screens?
Thanks. The bugs can be terrible. Especially at sun-down. The rest of the day not so bad
I love that you guys fish and eat your catch on your journey. Can’t wait to see what your eating in the a Gulf of Mexico.
Great video and subbed! I hail from south and west of you in Leamington, Ontario on Lake Erie. Hope to start my loop in a few years! Safe travels!
Great video, looking forward to seeing more 😀
Great Video. Will be following you!
If I spend a pile of money on enclosing my aft deck, I'm blaming you. It looks great and, now I have to have one.
Haha. I figure you can't have enough ROOMS on the loop
You guys need to let me know when you come to the NC area of the loop. We're on the Pamlico River. Folks might not know what to think seeing 2 Silverton 330's cruising side by side. Happy trails..... 🤘😁 🤘
We will for sure
Oh man I totally forgot about this message. We are currently in Annapolis
Hey dude.... Just found your channel. I bought that exact model boat last year, except mine is the diesel version with twin Cummins 4BTA engines. I don't have facts to support it but I have been told by many folks in boat sales that something like less than 10% of the Silverton 330 SB's were sold with the diesel option. This boat is awesome!! It's compact but a ton of space, very maneuverable, tons of features, and best of all - amazing fuel mileage. I don't run it on plane, often crusing at 8 to 9 knots. I'll be watching you pick up any tips and tricks!! 🤘😁🤘
Yes we love it too. Only heard of one other diesel. We cruise at 6-7 knots, seems to be our best fuel mileage. Just got the cockpit enclosed. Pictures in next video
Looking forward to following your journey.
Absolutely loved this video 💕. Living the Dream !
Thanks Dawn
This is such a fantastic video of our trip!!!! Love seeing Mylah in her element ❤️
Someone asked the bridge clearance of our boat and without taking down the TV antenna it is 13’9”
I'll be interested in your fuel burn, that's a good size boat to push 6000 miles with gas engines. We are on the hard, getting our boat ready. We will be a couple years behind you. Good luck and have fun. We look forward to seeing your adventure.
We've owned this boat for 4 years and we love it. I tell lots of people that we have more time than money. We average 1.6 mpg or 3.89 g/hr @ 6kts 1350rpm
subscribed! can't wait to follow your journey
Had to replace the trucks on my Silverton last Fall. That's a heavy door.
Yes, was surprisingly heavy. Wasn't too bad of a job once I found out where to get the parts.
What is the bridge clearance of your boat? The highest point of your boat, from waterline
Hi thanks for the reminder. I need to measure that. Will do that shortly and get back to you. I know it just went inside that 16' door on the trailer and it drafts about 2'10"
@@followyourarrowcanada I'm so jealous!!! wish I was already there. As it stands, I'm probably 2 years out. Safe travels
Just Measured it and its 13’9” with touching the TV antenna
@@The442nd I think my wife and I maybe head out about the same time as you. Starting from southwest Florida. Hopefully Diesel prices will be normal by then or we will have to compensate for it by sending nights at ⚓ rather than marinas.
I just found your channel. Thanks for the tour of your boat. I look forward to the adventure. Most people don't change the difficult to reach plugs, so KUDO's to you. Semper Fi!
Wow! How many times do I say “actually “? I finally got over saying “and”. Sheesh.
❤️
???????
I love it! Can't wait to see how amazing you will make this place . 😍
Holy $#@% .......... leave it to you both to totally change direction and buy a new little place to hang your hat at certain times of the year - when not on your boat! So happy for you and can't wait to see future videos of the progress. Go Allan & Tara....
I LOVED your video - great watching your adventures...each video keeps getting better and better. (and i like your music picks :)
A little humour to this video, but it actually could’ve been very serious. It’s a great reminder not to get complacent. Always Always let somebody know where you’re going and when you’re coming back and stick to it. We are disappointed in ourselves as we always do this when boating but chose not to follow it for a simple snowmobile ride. We sent text messages calling for help. We eventually did get cell coverage. Thanks JP for coming to the rescue.
