Hulk can beat Superman yet they undermine him at the avengers to be defeated by Thanos. As a script writer I would have made Thanos trick hulk to charge into a portal jumping into another universe since Thanos can't outmatch hulk. It's like darkside being defeated by Wonder woman or Aquaman. Avengers was a joke from the start.
