John Halchak Jr. Wall of Coaching Distinction Ceremony
On December 9, 2024, the Board of Education posthumously inducted John Halchak Jr. into the Wall of Coaching Distinction. This honor recognizes athletic coaches who have made a significant difference in the Fallsburg school community.
John Halchak Jr. had an unparalleled commitment to his students and athletes. He served as a physical education and driver's education teacher and athletic director for Fallsburg. As head coach, he led the swimming team to the 1966 DUSO League Championships and the baseball team to the 1985 Section IX Class D Championships.
His son, Jack Halchak, accepted the Wall of Coaching Distinction plaque on his behalf. Congratulations to the Halchak family on this distinguished recognition!

In addition to teaching English at the Fallsburg Junior-Senior High School for 23 years, Andrew Neiderman is a best-selling novelist.
