Was watching until the random ass Love Simon dig. Why is it so hard for people to talk about queer media without putting down another? I swear too many people see that Love Simon isn’t a tragedy and thus it’s “made for straights” okay yeah, that’s why so many people in the lgbt community love it so much…. Putting down other works of representation that are genuine only helps set us back as a whole.

Omg your videos are so good! This movie has its issues and I'm fully aware of them but for some reason it was one of my favorite d coms. The protagonists felt very human and relatable and their friends to lovers arc felt very natural to me as a preteen. Love how you're feeding all my deepest desires of overanalyzing early 2010s disney media 😂 keep up the good work :)

I swore I fever dreamed this show in my adolescence since nobody I’ve ever asked has known about this show; it was part of my queer awakening as a child and helped me get through the abusive environments I had to live through as a kid. It’ll always have a special place in my heart and it makes me so happy and amazing to see people still talking about this show and I feel lucky that this video came across my page

I’m too old to have grown up watching this (I was 15 in 2010 lol) but man if I don’t love a weirdly specific, hour plus long TH-cam video about a niche subject I know nothing about.

First off, I hope the next episodes you do are just as informative as this one; secondly, there might be a loop hole in bringing or at least concluding the show's storyline completely, considering the actors may not be available and you can do so much more with the endless possibilities, pitch an animated movie to pick up where the Cliff hanger started.

I really love what you said about the teenagers mimicking the pleasantries of the adults in their lives, who act simultaneously immature and jaded. There is this interesting (albeit underdeveloped) idea about intergenerational harm and progress in Heathers, kind of reminds me of Into the Woods. We see how adults belittle the teenagers problems and emotions, leading them to treat each other with coldness and disdain. We see how JD mimics his father’s cruelty and the impact their relationship had on his development. Careful the things you say, children will listen.
