Join us as we learn how to Trigger an In-Sight Device with a Rockwell PLC. Triggering an acquisition from a PLC consists of setting certain control bits and reading status bits. These bits work together to from a 4-way handshake to keep the PLC and Vision System in sync.
The steps covered in this video are the minimum steps of the logic necessary to trigger the In-Sight camera with the PLC.
Although this video refers to the In-Sight 2800 Vision System, the steps outlined will be the same for any In-Sight camera that uses In-Sight Vision Suite.
The steps in this video require you have already installed the Cognex AOP, Configured your EtherNet/IP Driver in RSLinx, Setup your PLC Hardware in Studio 5000 Logix Designer and Searched for and Added the In-Sight 2800 to the PLC.
