Decided to try it for myself and it was really effective and fun. I wanna try and do some more bosses with Tifa just for the air combat and that new strat :)

Very cool use of dodge N dive and great run bro! I find this boss, Scarlet and Palmer on my list of most annoying bosses for no Damage lol.

@@oldschoolmagic4822 Im parrying with punisher mode. When you are in operator mode and switch to punisher mode there is a short window where Cloud will parry any physical attacks (and bound attacks with precision defense materia). No need to hold block during the switch. However, while you are in punisher mode you need to hold block. So in the beginning of the fight, I switch to punisher for the first parry, and then hold block for the rest of the parries during that string.

480 hour at this game and this game keep surprising me. now its about gambler mechanic? lol. i found at least 4 hidden mechanic from this fight alone by looking at multiple youtube video. 1. barret constant parry. 2. tentacle can be shotdown and this make dyne in pressure state. 3. arm extention can be shoot with fira, 4. dyne phase 3 ground attack also can be shot (its tentacle), 5. gambler materia is op? nice run btw. autosub!. now i need to revise my all party no damage run too

Have been seing Gorgon shield got potentional recently. Also wondering if you could abuse jump materia to dodge unblockables like sephiroths heartless angel.

Awesome. Does Tifa's focused strike have invisibility frames in the dodge? Or do you have to time it extra well to avoid getting hit?

Of all the bosses I’ve done, I still think Midgardsormr has the trickiest attacks to parry! I’ve had so many restarts bc it’s hard to tell sometimes when he’a gonna attack 😅 Amazing run! And you dodged his underground attack in phase 3 without going in the air! that was cool. 😎

Fun fact, that was actually my first try in second phase 😂. Had to wing it because I was not sure what was gonna happen, but I got it 🥳

Thanks man! Yeah it should be useful as it deals lightning damage and the boss is weak to lightning. And if you spam disorder like I did you should be able to pop it constantly 😊

Amazing run bro!! In phase 2 when you were using abilities to hit the head, and the game wasn’t processing the hits😤 I felt that one! Very weird hit boxes there. And nice use of deprotect, great run!!
Thanks man! Yeah like the hitboxes one the 2nd and 3rd phase on the parts are just so damn weird. Usually have a better time hitting them with Sonic Boom xD
@@xEDITS I concur with RE_Prince_Vegeta's observation. Those body parts are rage-inducing when you miss it not coz of player error but coz the game and Jenova's asinine physical design decides to screw with you! There were a few times when my abilities missed the freaking head😤😤😤😤😤😤😤
